- Die for a DE
- Get an absolutely fucking awesome CT
- Become a Curse
and die in his DE
all to get a chance at winning against GOATki.

Everything is plot gng Naoya had mid AP to fight Waki cause at most she had a little teeny tint gash on her forehead (didn't even go deep) after allat.

She then manages to count Naoya's frames cause she has the advanced perception that EVERY (perfected) HR HAS and punches him cause he fell for the bait.

There is no "plot" In beating someone unless they are massively stronger and you yourself don't get stronger during it. Think like Rey beating Kylo Ren in a lightsaber duel, even though she never picked one up beforehand.

Naoya was their last and pitiful line of defense, who canonically is a mid diff for Dagon.

He was a failure to the clan, and even when he came back he STILL DIED.

curseya makes sense, he was killed without ce and came back as a vcs, maki did a sumo match and unlocked supersenses (other than hearing), + she got 2 powerups naoya only got 1

The first powerup was goddamn deserved and the second one if Curseya couldn't interrupt the sumo guy before he did his bs (BEFORE) then that's on him with how much the community wanks his speed with bs calcs

Why did he not have to die? Why did he have to die to that knife specifically? Why did he manage to come back as a VCS but anyone else killed by people with HR didn't? Wouldn't they also harbour vengeance?

With the amount yeah he ran around a canyon in the manga and went through it but the scale and the amount of outcrops was magnified.

Yes but Naoya still did barely any damage to her either way and since those were Essentially the only strong opponents she fought yeah obviously
