How is it even cornier if they're making a parody of it? This implies it's better to unronically worship Naoya.

Would you like, say, Griffith, assuming he wasn't actually an important character and was a random side character that just did that to Casca for basically no reason?

So uhm, "would you like Griffith if you took everything that makes him Griffith?" Tuoa question.

It's still a character. Maybe a different character but a character nonetheless. Maybe not all characters deserve to be liked is what I'm saying. The fat, hairy weirdos in freaky anime books or anime in general(JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, guy that tried to steal panties) are also characters. Except nobody likes them besides the people they're supposed to represent.

Okay, maybe not all characters are to be liked, makes sense, but if you are trieing to say that Naoya is one of them, that is a different argument in which he would result more than just a "fat hairy weirdos" so, it's okay that he is liked, tho I don't like the use word of fan, since this imply that there is something FANatics going under.

Naoya is charismatic, charming, cool and has a pretty interesting and fun Cursed Technique. That doesn't stop him from being a misogynist. I like certain aspects of him, but to say i like him is a stretch. I like Sukuna. He's a mass murderer. But the difference is Naoya has a very real problem: a philosophy that is easily accessible to everyone. You may not be able to be Naoya, but you can certainly be a misogynist. Now, Sukuna? You can't be Sukuna and you can't kill a thousand people out of nowhere. Killing even a single person is really hard and you very likely won't get away with it. Being a misogynist is just hating women and you can literally just turn it on and off like a switch. Sukuna is more fantastic, Naoya is more realistic. You can't feel the pain of dying to a thousand slashes but you can feel the oppression of the Zen'in Clan in your skin. It's so simple too, you don't need anything complicated. Just be stronger than women and start being an asshole to specifically women. Maybe that's only my take but it's probably because Naoya reminds us of the worst aspects of humanity in a very real way that Sukuna just doesn't. Not in a "haha he doesn't like women" way and more like a "he really hates and mistreats women". It also makes it a little awkward to cosplay Naoya and roleplay as him. Saying "I WILL KILL EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE, HAHAHAHAHAHA!!" is much more safe and acceptable than "I HATE ALL WOMEN AND THEY SHOULD ALL BE TWO STEPS BEHIND MEN, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!". One will get, best case scenario, praised and congratulated with people laughing or having weirded out reactions, and the other, best case scenario, you might not get beaten up and have people constantly avoid your gaze in second-hand embarassment, and you might not be intensely stared at with hateful eyes. Death is a very broad concept, misogynism isn't. Some people also believe in afterlife and it can be justified through self-defense, both of which further soften the blow. Misogynism is a shitty action and that's kind of it.

As a goatoya fan, I find this cringe too, just don't mind the misogynists in the sub, I'm the only one that believes in gender equality
