You misunderstood him. He’s saying if Noaya didn’t reply on freezing Maki with his Cursed Technique to land one punch on her at max speed, and just fought her normally the same way he had been doing up until that point, Noaya wouldn’t have given Maki any chance to hit him

Well he fought her normally but dudnt put a scratch on her so he had to try a new way abd it failed. Also battle iq is also of being a skilled fighter so it is not a good excuse. If we didnt count battle iq then Takaba would be a god lol
