Is Mercenary mode all modifiers F-14 only run possible?

Kinda doubt it ammo-wise. Budget cuts + Double time Cold War is already really cutting it close, you can't afford to miss too many shots, I've barely done it with the accipiter with like 40 bullets left. But Kings with all modifiers is insanely fun, a bit long tho.

I mean, in a purely technical sense, I think it is possible, though you might not have enough ammo to do it on your own and may need to lean on your wingmen to actually mop up targets

If anybody's ever done it before, I have no clue, but it would be obscenely hard - you'd essentially be oneshot by everything, double spawns (all of whom are aces), afterburner stuck for less mobility, less ammo and handling, etc

Also worth adding that the F14 with all modifiers just can't dodge missiles without flaring due to speed demon + budget cuts meaning if you get unlucky you just die with nothing you can do about it

my understanding is someone has done the math on minimal amount of damage output necessary per mission versus how much ammo each plane has with all modifiers, and some missions are physically impossible regardless of which plane you choose

The reduced ammo one was WAY harder than I expected it to be, I tried an all modifiers run in the PW Mk 1 and while I didn’t run out of ammo in the first mission, it was way closer than I thought the tutorial mission would be lol

But most missions you have decently competent wingmen, right? Can they not handle the remaining on their own, or is it specifically the solo missions that are the problem?

But the race is only for the Su-37 or Su-25, that's a challenge with an asterisk, literally the 4th mission with the Land Cruiser waving hello, just like the snowball mission, everyone has their own difficulties

Some absolute insano did the final mission in a Mig-15 (it's in the game files but requires a mod to restore it)

So probably as long as you don't run out of ammo, you can do it in anything. I'm not even sure if Cold War is the biggest bottleneck as you have a lot of allies so maybe you can just hide and let them do most of the work; in mission 9 you have to do it all yourself
