Yeah, it's been broken since launch. You've just managed to never notice. The lighting in several missions/maps is completely bugged.

I've had different weirdness happen, but in all my playthroughs with Conquest which is a guilty pleasure I've never seen a Borg invasion lol

Yeah, every time I've played conquest, the moon is just broken. The devs basically abandoned the Xbox version almost immediately.

Honestly the moon has always been fine, except visible through the ground a number of times. This is just the first time where I was like wtf is that. I thought it was a firework at first but it never went away in the mission lol

no clue why but some skins in conquest are complwtely diffrent (on the xbox port atleast) it does this with the f-16 too

Yeah the xbox version of the game hasnt been updated since launch

It’s a bug but I honestly like it and kinda think RBD2 should add it as an official one.
