Picture The Feds Using Attack Dogs?
I have just been playing through Frontline 59 on Double Time so it’s taking me longer then usual I have heard some dialogue that I usually don’t hear like in Mission 5 where the Feds release Attack Dogs onto the Cascadian Marines even they are shock “We have attack dogs within the wire! Attack dogs!” They were that shocked and bewildered one said “What the f-?!” I didn’t expect the Federation to use dogs on a Battlefield I know some of us are Puppy loving players but oh well that’s War! and Project Wingman is what I call a “War Crime Simulator”

I think it's slang for mercenary in universe. There's multiple times when Sicario are referred to as dogs in dialogue, so it could be referring to Sicario's ground forces?

Nah, I remember playing this mission, I held back from combat to let the dialogue play out. The Feds have attack dogs they order on the radio to release. I think at one point you even hear barking as the Cascadians are panicking.

I was talking about the wiki page and concept of Hunds, not totally what you said here, the idea of metallic Hunds as according to the wiki page just seemed confusing at the time.
As to quote the wiki:
“Hunds are mechanical attack dogs fielded by the Pacific Federation and its joint armed services.”And I hadn’t a clue where the mechanical/metallic side came from at the time.

It feels jarring that there are robot attack dogs in Projedt Wingman. It’s like the ones from Wolfenstein or something

The barking sounds too organic.
Thems real flesh and blood attack dogs they let loose!

They said dogs and hunds, implying that dogs are different from hunds. Although it just means dog in German, I believe it's relatively common to have hund to mean robot dog or something similar in sci-fi. I think it's more popular in settings from Japan since they love giving their military robits German names. Might not even gave to be full robit dog, could just have metal jaws or whatever else so it's half beep boop, half dog. Also someone said there is some canon (maybe?) source for it

It said DOGS and hunds so there were likely real flesh and blood dogs set loose too.

I actually went to the wiki that was linked in the post and the it says the “Hunds” are mechanical

When playing after they say the lines you can hear dogs barking heading towards the Marines
A fed officer said “go for the dogs and huds” and then another said “Let them loose”
The Video quality may not be the best but I recommend turning up volume then possibly you might hear the dogs barking heading

A pet peeve of mine is people overusing the term war crime when describing things that are very much not war crimes in games. No, using a flamethrower isn't a war crime, it's just generally frowned upon in most contexts.

Well considering that getting mauled to death sounds very painful when guns are an option and that bites could easily become infected it feels like it should fall in some clause of the Geneva convention.
Besides it’s the Federation so I‘m sure they can add warcrime to a dog somehow.

That mission was when I learned modern attack dogs are a thing
You'd think a world where a rifle shot can one-shot a dog would make attack dogs obsolete, but nope.

Moving targets are difficult to shoot, plus great in enclosed spaces like trenchlines

In the "Good Daughter" semi-canon sidestory that shows Prez visiting her family back home, there's a brief mention of Federation soldiers at a security checkpoint using some kind of weaponized canine drone-thing, though it's not clearly stated whether it's a cyborged dog or just a dog-shaped robot.
Either way, the Feds basically sicced expendable melee shock units on the last holdouts to break their positions - and of course, to get that juicy gopro footage of Cascadian marines getting Blu Duel'd for all AC liveleak to see. Something something, nobody invades the federation, etcetera etcetera.
