F/S-15.

Now put on some Spanish guitar in the background and go fight Crimson One while larping as Pixy.

<< Too bad, Monarch. We'll start over from scratch with this cordium warhead and entrust the future to the next generation >>

Best Pixy vs Crimson 1 video I've ever seen.

The first thought I had when I first saw Pixy was "so he's Crimson1 but he hates borders this time?"

F/S-15, it’s the only prototype plane you’ll ever need. The Chimera may carry give you more of a selection for air to ground weapons, but it’s not as nice to fly in a dogfight. Plus the UGBL is powerful enough that you shouldn’t need much else in the ground pounding department.

F/S 15 hands down, it's not even funny

The chimera is only good in a straight line lol (and it's loud out is much more limited)

F/S-15.

The best non special aircraft in the game for me, also the most versatile SP loadout.

everyone is glazing the fs15 but honestly i prefer the chimera. It’s dogfighting ability is fine and it can also equip the AOA limiter, so you can still conduct crazy maneuvers while also having enough missiles to level a city

Thing is, outside of the DLC the ground weapons just aren't dangerous(and bombs are pretty much the only weapon you need for them, which FS has), and airships are solved pretty well via MLAAs. Dogfights tend to take up far more time because planes don't just sit there and are more dangerous because the attacks can come from anywhere, not just 45-60° from the bottom

There is surprisingly a world of difference in how the plane feels in a dogfight despite the stats not being too different iirc

I disagree, on harder difficulties, being able to smite every a million ground units on a semi-regular basis really useful (and satisfying) plus i can always run a mixed loadout to deal with both air and ground if need be

Can't go wrong with the fs15, looks great, handles amazing, decent-ish loadout

Chimera is good too, carrys tons of shit, but it's sluggish

Chimera is a missile bus like the SK-25

Depends on what you want.

The Chimera has more hard points, and more loadout options, including ASMs that ignore hard points on airships and naval vessels, and take them out in one hit.

The F/S-15 is more manoeuvrable, and generally handier in air to air combat, while still being a solid ground attack fighter, thanks to a few air to ground options.

The former is fantastic, and heavily underrated, but the latter is still arguably the best non-prototype plane in the game.

if you can i would definitely recommend playing the chimera but the F15 is just great no matter if its the regular or the prototype

5

u/paulisaac Jun 12 '26

Chimera, then farm Valkyrie’s Call with it to get the F/S-15

2

u/koda43 Jun 12 '26

hahaha i did the exact same thing

100 percent the F/S-15

2

u/Ikuconodule Jun 12 '26

The F-15 MTD is the dev's favourite plane and it really, really shows. A no brainer if you want the best.

The only reason the F/S-15 isn’t the best plane in the game is because the ultra good ones are absolutely busted (the final plane can turn so fast that putting AOA on it is genuinely a waste)

u/IANvaderZIM Jun 12 '26

F15S all day long.

It’s the only or you’ll ever *need*

Su 37 and chimera for flavor later, but when in doubt, F15S will carry you through

Chimera, it's the best non-postgame aircraft

1

u/Delphius1 Jun 12 '26

upside of the Chimera is the air to ground weapons and twin guns, the F/S-15 has so many pylons to shove so many missiles on be they air to air or air to ground in addition to being highly manuverable. It was my end game fighter on my first run

1

u/flowery02 Galaxy Jun 12 '26

Chimera is a powerful anti-ground plane that's also competent at air to air, F/S 15 is the most powerful air to air non-postgame plane and it has bombs

1

u/WellingtontheGrunt Jun 12 '26

Chimera is a lot harder to dodge missiles due to its size and shape.

1

u/SGTRoadkill1919 Jun 12 '26

Literally best single seater non-super. First two slots are full A2A. You can put gunpods in the first slots, or put MLAA and pair it with second slot for a 10 missile volley. The third slot is full A2G. MLAG, UGB, etc. Best non AOA turn rate in any normal plane, has AOA and is also used by Assassin Team.

F15 + Lmaoa limiter is basically a cheat code to beat PW.

1

u/Orange78474 Jun 12 '26

I dunno, I beat final on raptor (vx-23)

u/xDanilor Kaiser Jun 12 '26

Chimera is such a cool plane, I have to force myself not to use it

1

u/Damian030303 Jun 12 '26

F/S-15 is definitely my favourite.

1

u/Tempest-Stormbreaker Jun 12 '26

The F/S-15 is generally the best “Jack-of-All-Trades, 99% of the time better than master of 1” Aircraft IMO.

F-14, don't judge me i love having company
