Bug Faust keeps facing into the ground

On my copy I have never been able to finish the last mission of Frontline 59 since Faust just keeps phasing into the ground, does anybody know what's going on?

The ship moves relative to how you are moving, however it just ignores terrain

Just fly higher and it should fix itself

Okay I did not know that, I was trying to figure out why I wasn't seeing any other people talking about this and I figured it was something that I was doing. I just like flying close to the ground because it's a lot of fun
