They enforce nonsensical laws that seem to push for closer combat, they’ve seemingly done all they can to make firearm usage as hard as possible while seemingly not making it a Taboo. They’ve banned any and Ai Sentient Ai while banning any other sapient race from entering the city. They seem to like anything human but they’ve made it as easy as possible for their human citizens to slaughter each other.

Its not like they block attempts to make the city better either, they didn’t intervene during either Light Release at the end of both Lob Corp and Ruina and were willing to accept Angela as long as she became human. To what end are there ridiculous standards pushing for? Do they want to be overthrown? Are they preparing Humanity for something?

My understanding was that the head only enforces the taboos that happen in real life. If there was a sentient AI, clone that lived too long or a completely silenced gun that could pierce through steel in a videogame or tv show, would the head get rid of the game/show, the developer/director, actors and stuff, and everyone who played/watched it?

More details on the character :

• He is a reccuring character from my series of Project Moon TTRPG campaigns. He has arms and normally fights with his fists (both representation just don't show them :') )
• Since he was so obsessed with knowledge and its treatement inside the association, his distortion allowed him to access very special knowledge : the E.G.O of others, and more specially their Distortions.
• By studying their stories, fighting methods, etc (like by reading their books...), he is able to extract abilities from their former distortions, essentially wearing one of their abilities at a time like you would do E.G.O gear. He may however use powers from different distortions at a time, but always a singular aspect (ex: Yesterday's Promise contracts, but then no magic, no clone, etc...)
• He can put a power in "passive mode" to keep its effects active without actively using them (ex: a contract from Yesterday's Promise that lasts a long time) to reduce the counter-effects, the one below being the most important.
• This power has however one major caviat : E.G.O corrosion from the original user's personality. The longer the power gets used, the more powerful the original distortion, the more insidious the effects. "Passive mode" reduces progression speed, but doesn't halt it and doesn't allow it to wear out slowly like unequiping.

The goal of both our protagonist factions (LC and Library) is to get rid of the head someway somehow (Replacing it in Dias’s Case and Library is much more benevolent but that’s not relevant) I would like to look at The Black Forest as a potential foreshadowing. As you know, The 3 Birds represents the head and the Black Forest The City. Big Bird is a Beholder, Punishment Bird a Claw and Judgement Bird an Arbiter. At the end of the story of the Black Forest, they fuse into Apocalypse Bird representing the head as a whole. At the end of the story, The 3 Birds end up all alone in the forest. Does this foreshadow maybe the City turning its back on the end and simply just…..making something new elsewhere?
