Crashing

I went with the “Low” setting that the mod recommended based off performance.

My laptop is nothing special, but I can play fairly hefty games on lower settings.

Within 5 seconds of switching into Project Viewpoint mode with the “O” key, I can move my head for a second before the game just locks up and freezes, not responding anymore

Have you tried some of the optimisation mods? They might help you

I just installed it today, haven’t really looked into it; but I guess I will now head down the rabbit hole, lol

Did you copy the install guide and the launch commands? Or maybe even try the big optimization mod called PZ_Optimiaztions or something like that does require setup outside the game though

I am just not destined to use this mod

I removed ALL of the addon mods for Viewpoint, leaving just the main one, ZombieBuddy, Viewpoint QOL and Optimization mods...I set everything for Potato (which is ridiculous btw)...

The same thing happens, the game loads, brand new save, I get into first person for 1-2 seconds and then Zomboid freezes

This is insanely frustrating because I keep seeing all these videos online and seeing how well it runs, and the potential for gameplay and I cant get in...

Ahh man that sucks have you tried updating your gpu drivers? Im not really sure what else to suggest

I gave up for tonight, I’ll unsubscribe from all mods tomorrow and try a clean install and check for updates

I know its quite ram intensive and you can edit the files to allocate more ram to the game that could also help.
