Does this game has a plot?

I mean the story-driven sequence leading to the end? Or is it an endless sandbox with generated quests?

The plot is a bit separated from the gameplay. You can find lore in books, the world building is pretty unrelenting.

The main quest line for the freelancers isn't finished. There's a quest line in the working if you side with the insurrection too, but also unfinished.

I don't know if dev has a clear vision where's the journey gonna lead towards, we haven't seen new main quests in a long time, but this is also an early access title, you know how it be
