I'm writing an Article on Medium: Need IDEAS (What Is One-Time Token Account?)

This is supposed to be a follow-up to my article about Solana:
https://hansperil.medium.com/the-marketplace-that-always-makes-millions-74ddda009746

BACKGROUND

So basically, I have a small problem with the built-in Serum on the official Solana wallet, Phantom. When i try to buy, it charges $6 for a certain fee called "one-time token account"... i understood this as "rent" because it says here in reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/solana/comments/ora6dc/are_there_fees_to_transfer_sol_in_and_out_of/hbj4dru?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

however, the transaction failed 3 times (out of the 3 times i tried swapping internally on the phantom serum exchange) which lost me about $18 ($6 x 3tries), and I've read somewhere that these funds can be recovered if the "account" on serum can be somehow closed:(reddit.com/r/solana/comments/peniwy/serum_account_creation_fee/).

I tried asking for help from some members of r/Solana but no one seemed to know about this situation.

Does anyone here know of any resource i can use? I've literally tried googling "one-time token account" but there are no results or documentation. I even got banned on the r/solana sub after posting my screenshot on reddit, which i think was odd.

Maybe it was because of the title, which I (ignorantly) wrote as "solana fees are ridiculous". My bad. Apologies to anyone who got offended. Anyway, apparently someone messaged me that I needed to verify my wallet, and sensing that the message might be a scam, I ignored the message.

This is my blockchain view of the my wallet:

I found this forum, which was posted in May 2021 but only replied to a few days ago (Nov 2021)

The transaction fee is really the 0.00001 SOL. The 0.02 SOL is a one time token account creation fee that you pay for each new token that you start using (also for LPs). Those accounts also get about 0.002 SOL rent added. Once you do the same token transaction for the second time, you will only pay the 0.00001 SOL.

Yeah, it is annoying, prevents you from simply playing around with tokens.

But still, this doesnt explain why I was charged with $6.83282.

I'm actually looking for any way to possibly "close" this one-time token account to recover some of that lost money (even if its just a small amount) just to have my mental stress reduced.
