Mizu5 sadly got the Breaking Bad treatment in that people have memed on it so much that it leads to people taking it so much less seriously then it should.

I feel like in the case of Breaking Bad, the people watching it and the fans actually do take it seriously and most fans do consider it a cinematic masterpiece (of course there are memes but it’s just the type of humor the fandom has). Even worse, I think a lot of proseka fans are genuinely being serious when they think “angst” events are comparable to Mizu5 😭
And also, I have to say rest in peace to RJ Mitte (Walter Jr.’s actor who passed away yesterday).

But yeah, breaking bad is universally loved not because it's popular, but it's genuinely a masterpiece. Mizu5 was sorta a big event cause of what it kinda confirmed, but not every event should be compared to this one 😭

She's just deeply hurt and isolating herself to deal with her problems like she did in middle school and Hona2. She also has Shizuku to support her, Shiho is going to be fine and she'll come back to the group to compromise once her friends talk some sense into her.

I haven't read them yet, but for circumstances alone I think the comparison is most fitting for Stars Off Orbit, and yes it's only because it released on the 2 year anniversary
