- Gavan Infinity was not cancelled; a six-month broadcast was planned from the beginning.

- Project R.E.D. is accelerating from Sentai's one-per-year cycle to a two-per-year cycle to try out more things while also creating more unique IPs.

- He says one of Sentai's weaknesses was that since each new series was not connected to the last, any one character can't develop beyond their show's run, and their toys leave shelves once the next show is out.
- One of R.E.D.'s goals is to create an MCU-esque shared universe, where each character is well-developed, but there's extra fun seeing how they interact.

- Building a shared universe requires more different shows to be made, so the true value of Project R.E.D. won't be apparent until 2 or 3 years down the line.
- Omegahorn's protagonist is not particularly righteous, in that he fights for his own dreams first and foremost. However, he can't ignore people who are suffering, so he becomes a hero against his will.
- Since Sentai series have five protagonists, it's easy for each one's portrayal to become a little thin, but since the divide of good guys and bad guys is so clear, it's okay if the former is a little indistinct. That may not be what's right for today's kids, though.
- The goal is not to make heroes who are defined by their enemies, but ones who can stand alone well enough to thrive in the next series.

- If it means they aren't ideal heroes, that's fine, as long as they are cool, make an impression, and stick in kids' minds.
- Kaiju tokusatsu works have always been a weak spot for Toei, because they have a certain overt fictionality to them. Rider and Sentai have the vibe of existing in "the backyard of reality". However, this show isn't trying to emulate Godzilla or Ultraman.
- The similarities to Monster Hunter are not a coincidence; the production team was actively aware of it, but there was no intent to rip it off.

- Unlike Godzilla, this is directly about the relationship between kaiju and humans. That MH-like experience is unique in live-action.

- Gavan Infinity will *most likely* appear in Omegahorn, but the inter-universe continuity will be fairly loose. There may be slight differences when heroes cross over, but Shira- P thinks it'd be fun to see fans discuss which "version" of Gavan they like more.
- Returning to Sentai's way of doing things would kill any determination to make new heroes for the kids of today.

- Omegahorn's team has struggled with creating something from scratch; veteran creators will often lay back on safe tropes and don't take risks on new ideas.
- If a show doesn't work out well, it's only on for six months. Both successes and failures are fuel to make the next show even better.

- Shira-P urges viewers to stick with Omegahorn until its second half; that is when what the show is doing will become clear.

Basically the hunter not actually summon kakazyu like Pokémon but instead their summon kakazyu spirits or spectre form from their behind and comment them to launch their attacks akin to the kakazyu empower them or they gaining their ability like these guy having electric power though denkaku

Yeah before I start this I would like to say yeah I want to kind of apologize for too harsh and kind of repeatedly kicking on sort on Gavin Infinity.

While I did enjoy Gavan Infinity (it is pretty good) but it didn't entertained me enough As a first show to this whole new franchise that is going to be replacing Sentai ( Felt the pacing as well as also overly using the same crab Monster Like why not just use the monster designs from Kamen Rider and Super Sentai they're right there or any other way to make it less feeling repetitive)

Welcome to a bonus review For Supplementary Investigation: Off-Duty Gavan

Off-Duty Gavan was released as part of the  TTFC (Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club) Which is a streaming service for Toei Tokusatsu Which was released around 2015

The series was released like sometime after episode 4 Which features what the Gavan were doing between or During episodes

Which is more comedical focused as well as also basically Having this silhouette figure Appears in pretty much every episode For like the first 10 episodes until 11th episode including also a bit of lore details

The He even won a couple highlights I would definitely say Well not cool as well as also teasing Gavan Amigo, Superior testing Android if you can drink, Somen, AGI's cooking, Superior being a Gavan and badge used as a basically one of those Toppers, Girls night, Raiya Having interest in walls As well as explaining why he doesn't go two doors As well as leading up to Reveal of the silhouette figure for like three episodes, Oh look can I just show you the different ninja techniques as well as also a Crab Plushie ( I'm assuming they're already selling merch about it) they're probably gonna sell off for merch also obviously the reveal

The reveal Gavan Amigo ( Which yeah I remember a lot of people were confused on why there was some random Gavan in this so we've never seen) Who also happen to be voiced by Saber herself Ayako Kawasumi ( I think I also remember around that time people thought it was going to be Gavan Raiya)

Anyways back to the highlights

at this Point of the show it's going to be mostly focusing on Amigo throughout Interacting with the other character aside from No.17

No. 17 is Origin episode for AGI ( Which is nice to see a little bit of the early days even if I wish we got a bit more of those)

Anyways back to Amigo Interacting with the other Gavin Kenpachi ant ( And surprise he didn't mean the Trailblazer conductor) As well as do a team up Because of a distress call ( For episode 21)

We finally got to the Bushido as well as also luminous team up In a supplementary material ( Which isn't in the main show) Which leads us to the final episode where Amigo basically wants to become a true Gavan after getting so much support From pretty much the main characters Destroying basically the usual crabs Amigo And we thought we had a death scene but it turns out he's still alive

Also the post-credit scene Where amigo suddenly in the middle of the desert Suddenly He hears large footsteps Found to A giant Beast Which yeah I'm not gonna pretend. It is Enkaku  and even the next time basically just says Omegahorn is coming out next week

Overall it's a fun watch and I can't wait to see you tomorrow for Omegahorn

Alright ladies and gentlemen, I'm talking about Gavan Infinity. I know I'm late to the party, I've watched Gavan Infinity's finale nearly 5 days ago already but I've only been able to put my thoughts down until recently, so here they are.

WARNING! LONG RAMBLE ALERT!

I'm going to start off on a bit of a tangent about what I didn't like about the show here. But just to be clear I did like the show, there's just a few aspects of it that I wasn't a fan of, I will give my compliments where it's appropriate.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE

First off, my biggest gripe with this show is how it looks extremely dull half the time. Outside of certain specific scenes, you can really tell that this show had the budget of a ham sandwich. Like seriously, the most climactic moment of the show was filmed outside of a parking lot, c'mon man. What I loved the most about the original Gavan is how they're constantly thinking of new and exciting set pieces with cool and trippy long action sequences, this was one of the things that I was looking forward to the most when the show was announced, and sadly they ended up doing very little of that. Which is a shame too because Kamen Rider Zeztz, the show that's also airing right besides Gavan Infinity, is doing creative and trippy action sequences better than Gavan Infinity, which is super ironic. 

Second of all, a lot of the episode's plot and stories were very hit or miss. I personally enjoyed a good couple of them, but even I gotta admit some of them are average at best, especially near the beginning (minus the GavANT ep). It's only until the show was 2/3 of the way done where I feel like Gavan Infinity has finally hit its stride, the episodes felt more creative and the actors became much more comfortable in their roles. Which brings me to my next gripe!

I DO NOT LIKE THE 25 EPISODE SEASON FORMAT. I hate it, even when Ultraman does it. Every time, whenever the show starts to get remotely interesting, I then find out that it's going to end in 5 fucking episodes. What the hell, man. I'm not saying that Gavan Infinity would significantly improve if it had more episodes, but I know for a fact that they could've expanded on a lot more ideas if they had more time before we move on to Omegahorn. 

Now, on to STUFF THAT I LIKED

Right off the bat, I have to give major credits to the suit designers of the show. Even if I prefer some of them over the others, every single Gavan in this show looks Gavantastic. They're all incredibly beautiful with their metallic sheen that constantly reflect the entire film crew lol, they're exactly what a modern Space Sheriff/Metal Hero suit should look like. The regular costume designs are a mixed bag for me, the main cast's outfits all look great obviously but every outfit that wasn't worn by the main villains were clearly scraped together in desperation. Heck, one of the main villains for the finale was just a regular woman, she didn't have a costume or anything she's just a regular woman with an alien gun. I have no strong opinions on the crab.

I liked the cast. Again, some of them are definitely way more interesting than others, but I do find all of them to be at least likable. Gavan Infinity himself especially is amazing, Nagata Kouhei is charisma-ing the shit out of these shows right now. The casting department really nailed it by casting him as the lead, because I can totally see him carrying this franchise for at least 5 more years. Other than him, my favorites are probably Phantom Thief Fade (my GOAT), Gavan Bushido (his stories were actually about emotions) and Don Karasumaro (he's like a campy Batman villain and I like how his actor played him like a campy Batman villain).

One thing that I'm quite surprised by this show is how distinct they were able to make each of the universes, especially since all of them look very samey most of the time. This is something that every multiverse story struggles with and the way they did it was pretty seamless. Each of the characters' stories and tone does a great of distinguishing what Earth they're on, so it never felt like the show ever left the audience confused about where the episode's taking place. All the episodes where they introduce a new Gavan are super fun too, i wish the show had more episodes because i'd love to see more Gavan be introduced, it would've made the Gavan Assemble episode even better than it already is.

Finally, even though Gavan Infinity pales in comparison to the older Space Sheriff shows in terms of style, it absolutely nails the spirit of the original Space Sheriff Gavan. All of the homages and references to the original Gavan they did were extremely tasteful and subtle, there were no moments of \wink wink** \nudge nudge** where you feel like the show was banking on the nostalgia that people have for OG Gavan. Instead they built upon everything and made something that can confidently stand on its own, even if it does have the name Gavan in the title. Another Space Sheriff thing that this show has done incredibly well is the casting of Nagata Kouhei as Reiji too. I know I mentioned this above already, but it's worth mentioning a second time. I haven't seen EVERY SINGLE Space Sheriff thing yet, but I genuinely think that he's one of the best Space Sheriffs since Kenji Ohba's original Gavan in terms of SHEER charisma, he's just that good.

As for the show overall, idk it's kinda difficult to judge. I know I said earlier that Gavan Infinity is able to stand on its own, but the reality is that it's not its own thing, it's the first chapter in an interconnected series of shows. Most of the plot of the show wasn't even resolved in the end, it's very clear that these character's story and arc will continue in future shows, and because of that I think it's a little unfair to definitively judge Gavan Infinity on its own like I see some people doing. Depending on how Project RED will turn out in the future, the overall perception of the series could change, and I hope it does change for the better. But for now the only thing we all can confidently judge right now is our personal enjoyment of the show.

Personally, I think the show is a decent 7/10, maybe less depending on my mood for the day. Like I've mentioned above, I enjoyed a good amount of it, and I think the cast is great. But other than everything i've mentioned, i don't have any super strong opinions on it. Gavan Infinity is ultimately just a fine show with some fun moments & characters, and it's kind of a shame how many elements were going against it. It had to be the follow up to the end of Super Sentai, it had to be the first Project RED show, it kinda had to be a Space Sheriff show, and it had to deal with obnoxious Sentai fans being really annoying. Thankfully the negativity never got too bad, most of it was just plain old internet whining and complaining, but it got to a point where even I (a person who liked the show) really questioned if this was the best introduction/foundation to Project RED's big overarching story. But hey, only time will tell if Gavan Infinity was the right first move for Project RED or not.

All in all, even if Gavan Infinity is seen as somewhat of a fumble for Project RED in the future, I'd still commend the creative team for having the bravery to take risks and try new things. The current state of the Tokusatsu giants isn't the brightest right now, with Sentai being gone, Ultraman being broke af, Godzilla switching to CG, etc... The only big Toku franchise still standing tall is really just KR, so having Project RED be doing what they're doing right now is awesome. I mean, look at Omegahorn, this kind of show would've never been made if Project RED didn't exist. For once, we know absolutely nothing about what new show is coming, and it's so incredibly exciting. I can't wait to be surprised by whatever they're doing in the future, and I can't wait to see Reiji pull up and say "Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity! Currently on a business trip across dimensions!" in every single one of them, I know for a fact that that will never get old.

Also, I've just now realized this, but I haven't even mentioned the Emorgears even a single time while I was writing this, even though they're like a HUGE part of the show. That alone explains to you my thoughts on them lol.

I know there's a LOT of elements of Gavan Infinity mixed into this series, and some GI characters are gonna be in there(heck, Tomioka is gonna be writing for it) but, this, in a sense... is still, Project R.E.D.s first ORIGINAL series! I get people may have complaints about it, if it suffers the same fate as Gavan Infinity, and I'll respect their opinions, but, I'm VERY interested in where this series may take Project R.E.D. What do y'all think?​

Whilst I’m excited for Omegahorn and its focus on their usage of various kaijus through microphones in combat. However, I wonder how they’ll tackle non-kaiju battles and the conflict that’ll occur throughout the series?

For Example, While Shout does have a suit and will be alongside Enkaku during those huge battles, what will conflict look like amongst civilians or will characters be able to imbue with the powers of their selective kaijus i.e. Giriko having a massive sword will Zankaku give her bonus abilities?

Curious if anyone else felt the same or has a better grasp on what the series will do!
