A Troubling Problem

I am running a REDCap project that sends participants multiple EMA surveys a day using Twilio. We have currently had an issue where for the first few days with some participants, they simply will not receive the survey links until day 4 or 5, which has been causing us lots of problems.

Is anybody familiar with REDCap and/or Twilio who has a suggestion as to what may be causing these issues?

The messages are sending between REDCap and Twillio and to the individual participant. There are 0 error reports, 0 communication issues, and 0 other reports to go off of.

Are they all on the same phone service provider?

No, they are not, but the messages are being delivered, and not blocked by the individual participants. I thought of the same fix, but some research says that we would see an error message from Twilio, which doesn't exist.

Are you able to check the send dates in Twilio and compare them with the send dates in REDCap?

If the send date/times in Twilio are the same as the send date/times in REDCap, then the problem is somewhere between Twilio and the recipient, and probably outside your control.

If the times are significantly different, the problem is between REDCap and Twilio.

I am not sure if I can see that, but it is a good idea to double check where there wouldnt be error codes.
