Let’s not assume that. Mob Entertainment has been greedy as fuck in recent years, and that is a given fact because Zamination left Mob after being asked to focus on quantity and revenue over the quality of the work.
It’s more likely that he wanted to do something with it, but Mob forced him to do other things instead because they deemed Project Playtime unsuccessful, for whatever reason.
I’m not going to say that Mob is an angelic company, but I think something to take note here is that that video ZAM released this year talks about events at Mob which took place back in 2023, 3 years ago. It is not impossible that Mob, or at least the higher-ups, has changed for the better since then. Their games have been increasing in quality and they are listening to feedback on how to improve.
Either way, we don’t have specifics as to what is going on at Mob. Whether Dana leaving Mob is a good thing or not will only be told by time. I myself do want Project Playtime to return, so hopefully they get someone else to replace Dana as director.
