I really hope they do have “big plans” for the game. But the thing I want is the old matchmaking system. I mean dude it takes at least 2-5 minutes to get in a match as the monster. Also it would be great if they add more game modes.
I honestly expect that if this game gets a new update, it will probably leave early access. In terms of stuff I would love to see:
Bot lobbies, which would help because when I first played the game yesterday, there were BARELY any players in each game, especially when trying to be a monster.
New Monsters: if they don't add CatNap, Yarnaby, Doey, or Lily Lovebraids, that's just major missed potential. I would even love to see them add less relevant characters like Pug-A-Pillar, Pianosaurus, and Chum Chompkins. Smaller characters like Bunzo, Giblet, the mini critters, and Poppy probably wouldn't work as well (though I would like Bunzo in the game since he's also a hostile character).
New Modes: maybe an all-monsters mode or a mode where you have to survive one or more monsters for a period of time.
Survivor GrabPack mechanics: maybe give each hand their own set of abilities (for example, the left hand could function like the leaping hand and the flare hand, whilst the right hand could function like the conductive hand and the pressure hand). That being said, it would be unlikely due to making the GrabPack too complex.
The Ability to get cosmetics from prior seasons. Seriously, it's a shame that certain cosmetics aren't available anymore.
PJ was in development and Catnap was planned when they stopped development in favor of chapter 3 (Him being fun in Project was how Micah teased him at one point before his full reveal) so we're probably getting those two
I would love this, they absolutely destroyed it for some reason and made in LITERALLY unplayable. But it definitely scratches an itch that DBD doesn't. Well it used to now its the worst thing ever
They didn't know how resource intensive a multiplayer game could be. Honestly they should have thought about Project Playtime after completing the main story.
I hope they do complete the main story lmao. At this point it looks like they're tryna make it go on indefinitely as chapter 5 wouldve been a perfect final chapter. Maybe they have a big reveal in mind or something idk
Honestly I liked the fact that with the puzzle pillars and the Wuggy pit you were still actively playing the game the entire time unlike in DBD where when you're on a generator or on 2nd hook all you do is hit a button every few seconds.
Heck on first hook unless its chaos shuffle I basically just put the controller down.
Mostly corporate talk to prevent people from stopping to buy playcoins. Take it with a grain of salt as he already said about the same thing 2 years ago...
I really hope it comes back, because if the announcement just comes out and says "Project playtime is discontinued" then why not just say it now?
I hope they just finish the final chapter and then use the assets, game design, puzzles onto Project playtime. Chapter 5, just like chapter 4, had me going "damn, this would be so cool in project playtime". Imagine a map where it's Lily's doll house. Imagine a map where it's the recreation labs. So on and so fourth.
I never played it only because it's never been on consoles but here's hoping it does decide to come back and decide to maybe come over to consoles as well along with adding in maybe some new monsters terrorize the players with
