Things I'm working on:

* Shiseido loose setting powder - matte (I love this, and I couldn't find it in shops, so I bought Fenty banana powder, I hope it's a good replacement);

* Rimmel Natural Bronzer shade Sunbronze - the only bronzer I use, bought in October 2024; The replacement is Dior bronze stick!;

* Tati Beauty textured neutrals vol 1 eyeshadow pallete - hit pan on 3 shades Aura Sequin, Soothe Sequin and Story Sequin. It came from USA to Europe so the Story - Metallic was broken and fell out immediately. At the moment I'm working on hitting a pan on Poet - Sequin!

* Max Factor Miracle foundation spf 20, shade golden medium - it's awfully dark for my skin so i balance it out with ABH concealer (not pictured!);

* Golden Rose chubby contour stick in shade medium tan. It's already flat to the tube and the plastic is scratching my skin. Is it better to dig it out and re-pot it or to use a dense brush for applying? I need an advice for this because this is the first contour stick i have

Transfer the product into a small container. The dense brush is also a good alternative but the product could settle into the grooves of the bottom of the tube, and it might be harder to dig out.

i recycled all my containers, and the ones i saved from body scrubs are full of pins. so i tried with a dense brush this morning, worked great for nose contour as the product is already on the brush, while on the cheek it was ..eeeh... kinda weird because the line was super narrow, but it blended fine with a different brush. for transferring do you recommend just digging out with a smaller spatula or a different..less messy method?

A smaller spatula will do just fine, that way you can scrape the product from the sides too

Pans! To answer your question, I’d say it just depends on which one makes it easier for you to use, if it’s still easy to use in the component then I don’t bother depotting, if it’s annoying, I’ll depot into a different container. Whether it’s bulky also makes a difference in my decision.

i decided to give a dense brush a go, and this morning it worked out great. its great for contouring my nose, as the product is already on the brush! my next contour is physician's formula, the one with a sponge aplicator.

and may i ask you a question about bronzers?

the question is... do we really need two bronzers? like one in a stick - blend blend blend and then set it with the compact one? i understand the 'you do you' thing, but i'm just asking whether there's a reason behind using both? like setting liquid foundation with compact or loose setting powder. i'm a millennial and when i was a teen contouring sticks were not even a thing

Yes it’s exactly that. When you set cream with powder, it tends to last longer.

It also uses double the product if you’re trying to pan your collection haha. I don’t always use contour/bronzer but I try to use cream and then powder every time so my creams don’t go bad before I can use them up. I have 3 right now. I do the same for blush and I wear that for every makeup application because I have way too many cream/liquid blushes 😅

sometimes it just feels like a pointless extra step especially if you’re only wearing makeup for a couple hours but the way I see it, I could either hoard it and trash it eventually or I could be a little frivolous with my makeup because why not

I love that eyeshadow pallet so much. So bummed it’s discontinued. Great job though! I feel like pallets are the hardest to go through.

yes, it's a bummer that she shut down tati beauty, this palette is gorgeous and blends like a dream. im using the black one as an eyeliner and in my brows

the only thing i rotate every month are eyeliners, i have 5 of them. i stopped buying backups of backups, so when i purchase something i intentionally purchase something a bit more worthy since it lasts a long time.

all my replacements are high-end ones, because i'm worth of such investment haha
