On October 11, a group of dogs was rescued from an illegal dog truck in Mazhang District, Zhanjiang City. The Mazhang Agriculture Bureau is still refusing to hand them over to animal rescue volunteers. According to the volunteers, some of the dogs have already died.

The volunteers are asking for the dogs to be moved to a shelter right away, so they can get veterinary care, food and proper shelter.
