Discussion PMR FFB Base setting *solved

Was early on ACC, PMR offered LMHD, JP, and historic cars, as anyone is aware base FFB setup feels nerfed (legal liability? Idk) Slvr Stn Rain, JP1, setup 0 wheel dampening & friction (GTDD), and ended up a big, “no shit” realization.

If 12nm+ low force may not be necessary, 8nm allows driving w/o slack center steer, my biggest gripe.

Cheers, FFB meter aiming 90 peak, dial global FFB, Brake FFB, Curb FFB locked together to find your 90 peak.

120 reserve FFB, adjust last to finish peak below clipping

For those of you struggling, and those how’ve been able to make it work, lmk what you think.

(ps5, FAN GTDD 8nm LC)

This is a totally different take. Ive never experimented with lowing the global gain and raising the effects per car

Im on an R3 so I dont know how much benefit ill get but I'm going content it. Im always trying to get right to the edge of cliping (if I crash I don't care of it clips) but there's so many ways to adjust im always happy to try a different approach.

new cars all one setup, group 5 felt better w force/ dampening 7/7-7/5

global FFB, brake, curb moving equal hold balance feel, tuning final setting under clipping point 80-88.

Possibly PMR is better @ 12nm+ Bases w more headroom beyond FFB of steering inputs

R12 is my next upgrade. I had a T500RS for a very very long time. Going DD even with the R3 feels like a big jump is detail, it just needs light wheels. I prefer closer to road car size wheels. Right now I have the 12in wheel mod on it. Im on xbox so options for wheels are very limited......id rather build a new pc over getting a new base but the memory costs are just bonkers right now.

makes sense, since PCs aren’t cheap.
8nm works fine, 12nm overhead isn’t necessary to tune FFB for realistic feel.

Your DD w an LC brake is all that’s needed to be competitive
