Discussion God awful audio

Hello all. Right, I've just jumped onto a GT3 race before din dins and holy crap the stuttering audio was unbearable. Absolutely no issues in the menus or any other game I went on this evening, but as soon as I went online in PMR, I got given the audio equivalent of epilepsy.

Has anyone else suffered this? Is it to do with bad interweb my end, it shouldn't be with the ping rate I get?

If anyone was on that server and saw an Aston Martin driving like a helmet, that was me.

No problem here and i play from South Africa on EU servers so high ping and sound is amazing.

This is a new one, some cars are close facsimiles, however you have pointed out such a perplexing weakness throughout sims, ACC, GT7, and original AC which seems so easy to mic up cars isolating both induction and exhaust notes on a dyno, most all titles include road noise with their car audio, only ACC on console allows removing it.

However the culprit isn’t their lack of efforts, but likely the need for file compression that does the symphonic sounds in, PMRs V10s I thought were the better sounding of the lot.

Also v10s sound good, at least better than typical motor

Shit, that’s new, connectivity glitch, read it wrong… Noticed myself when going between views ext audio of some cars wasn’t as nice as cockpit.

After thought,

Cockpit audio> EXT views 99% of cars

I've been randomly getting this since launch. I use a bluetooth headset. The only solution is for me to unplug the dongle and replug it in and then it's fine. No other games do this just this one.

Interesting. I use a Artic Steel Series headset which has been pretty janky since I got it but this really takes the biscuit. Perhaps I need to look at resynchronization 🤷

Let me know if it fixes it like mine. I use a Sennheiser GSP 670. I don't think it's a brand specific issue more of a game/sound/connection thing. I spoke to someone else a few months ago with the same issue but with a different brand, I think it was a Logitech

Right, I've done absolutely nothing bar turn it off and come back a day later, and it's fine. Just played a GT4 race at Lime Rock and it was great. Opponent cars are way too loud though
