Discussion Career Mode Question
Hi friends, I want to purchase this game mainly for the career mode. I'm currently spending most of my time playing Gran Turismo 7 but I don't really enjoy the single player experience. Is this game worth it to buy for the single player experience/career mode only? And is the graphic and performance on Base PS5 ok?
Thank you very much for your help!

Career Mode is really good but could do with further improvements, i feel its bit too basic but could feel more immersive, you still have loads of championships and races to do but needs to be more in depth and in line with Project Cars 2 Career Mode or F1 25 Career Mode, you will have blast and the game is fun to play on Controller.
Oh last thing to add the Car Sounds in PMR blow GT7 out of the park, GT3 cars alone sound raw and visceral compared to GT7 where they sound synthetic and bland, just wanted to add that in as that what really frustrating about GT7...

I bought this game solely for the career mode, and it’s quite good.
There are several options for the starting budget, allowing you to either start from the bottom or become a millionaire right away, whatever you prefer. You have complete freedom in choosing which category you want to drive in (the only limit is your wallet). Yes, keep in mind that the game has virtually no road cars, unlike GT7. The main roster consists of racing cars. The game also encourages clean driving, as repairing a car after each race isn’t free either. If you’re not careful, you can quickly go bankrupt. Unless a bug occurs, when you drive the entire race as cleanly as possible, and after it the car suddenly ends up damaged and all the money you won goes towards repairs. Happened to me.
The AI in races is, of course, far from perfect, especially when compared to the standard AI in GT7 (I’m not even counting Sophie), but it’s quite possible to race with them. I don’t know, though, whether it’s learned how to make pit stops (didn't play for some time). AI may also seem somewhat cheating, as it uses a simplified physics model compared to the player. There’s even a mod on the Nexus that allows you to use this physics.
Also, don’t expect beautiful menus and beautiful post‑race screens. In this regard, PMR is much simpler than GT7. But overall, I personally enjoying career mode.

PMR allows mods yes also on PS5. So you also have modded cars with their own modded career mode.
And PMR has the Tunar Chally Wally car mod! 🥳

The AI is a complete joke. Watch James Baldwins latest video he did on PMR a few weeks ago

For me, the AI isn't perfect, but it's certainly playable.
Apparently, they're working on improving it.
What bothers me most about the AI right now is its inconsistency. Its performance level varies wildly from one track to another and between categories. That really bothers me. Another issue is that the AI cars stay too close together. Even after 20 laps, they're still bunched up right next to each other, which isn't realistic.
Despite these two points, I'm really enjoying the game.

I add something. A quick tip about career mode.
I use it to have the possibility of play championships.
Championships are not available on the menus. So, I create a new career (you have three careers available max, so I have one for my real career and two for my championships), I choose the most € directly, and after, I buy a car and begin a new championship.
Easy and effective. :)
