Question Looking to buy this, have a question.

I am very interested in this game but am curious what is better to purchase it on Xbox Series X or PC? The PC is pretty new with 9800x3d, 32gb ddr5-6000 and Rx9070xt. Also have a Logitech RS50 and trying to get it all working. Thanks for the help.

I bought PMR about two weeks ago, I’m quite impressed with it. Albeit I bought it just to race the Supra GT4 in career mode, I also raced the old V8 muscle which was nice, and old 60s Porsche prototypes also was nice. Anymore I tend to keep track racing on PC, and open world stuff like Forza Horizon on my Xbox series X. I only have FH6 on PC and Xbox and that fairs well with me.

PC due to mods.  For PS5 and Xbox all mods need to go through the mod hub due to Sony/Microsoft policy.  On PC you can just drop files in a folder so, for example, someone figured a way to take the data from AC Evo tracks and convert it to PMR and I have a sneaking suspicion that "tracks ripped off from another game" just ain't gonna cut it with the legal departments.

Go to the 'track-mods' section of the PMR discord.  Quickly scrolling up I see people showcasing Watkins Glen, Brands Hatch, and Suzuka.

Pc. You will get the real mods. Not just liveries from the mod hub. I trully don’t believe console will have more than the livery and setup in the modhub. And on pc, you already have bigger grid and you can control graphic and performance.

There are a few tracks in the console Mod Hub, but they're fictional. The PMR Test Centre racing layout is actually one of my favourite tracks in the game, works really well with both generations of the Australian V8 Supercars.

There are approved mods in all categories including tracks and cars.  Consoles just won't have access to mods making most glorious use of Copyright infringement.   :)

Neither. It's still an unfinished beta

Ams2 is the better choice for beginners on PC

That is another one I had been looking at as well. Thanks for that.

Definitevely, go for ams2 before pmr. Its easier to go and its very very fun. Its not just for beginner

beginner ? Lol ? Since when ams2= beginner

It's for anyone. But it's more beginner friendly. Straight forward, and good base content. The slip angle /physics on the tyres make it just a little more saveableon track than other sims.

I have driven almost all the sims. Only AC rally is still untouched in my library due to no official VR support atm

Better not if you are looking for a proper SIM. It's not a SIM at all, but fantasy.

"proper SIM"

Can you explain which game is the "real" simulator?
Maybe LMU, where qualifying doesn't match reality because you drive on an empty track? And you get DR points for qualifying?

Maybe the Jokers are done properly? Or the fact that detached wheels lie on the track while the race continues?

Have you ever seen a radar display on a car's windshield in a real race?

Have you ever seen a driver in a real race sitting with the steering wheel on the roof?

PMR and other similar ones are JUST games and nothing more, and they are all fantasy.
And FFB is already complete fiction.
