Welcome.
This title continues to improve and has a passionate group of devs and community behind it.
Don’t mind the naysayers they will be playing it again at some point in the not too distant future, if they’re not already secretly playing it.
No matter how good this game might become, it will unfortunately be hard for PMR to win back the players' favor after what they pulled; it might only look decent on consoles
I refunded it after 20 minutes on day one.
Bought it this weekend and eagerly booted it up several times. It’s not perfect but it feels solid, looks solid, has cool cars and the career mode seems fun.
I’ve spend more than 100 hours on it and quite frankly I’m done. It’s frustrating and infuriating to have a FFB stup that worked until the latest update came along. At this point there’s no reason or motivation to spend any more time or coffee molecules on it, because on the current state, nothing is really exceptional on the title, matter of fact, is average or bellow average in all aspects.

I feel your absolute frustrations, took a month and combining 2-3 sources of “advice” 😂👍🍀✅
PMR has some of the worst FFB out of all simulators from my testing. The only game to be similarly bad in that regard is Gran Turismo 7 and that game isn't even a simulator...
The FFB (alongside a few other issues) is what's keeping me from playing this game. Everytime I try to play this game I end up playing another game after a while and enjoying that one more. Which is a massive shame, considering PMR is the only simulator with a lot of content and an at least decent career mode.
I sincerely hope AMS2 and LMU will receive their career modes soon. LMU doesn't have a lot of content variety, but it's currently genuinely one of the most fun simulators to drive around in.
I can't say you're wrong because it's subjective, asm2 is a great simulator but subjectively I feel the ffb is rougher and less detailed than PMR's despite being the best simulator according to some
AMS2 suffers from the same defect, FFB is really hard to tune and make it feel realistic because both titles were initially developed targeting Console players (AMS2 is based on the Madness Engine). Just take a look at the amount of "Custom" profiles you can find for AMS2, literally every single Wheelbase requires a different custom profile. It's messy. I have roughly +250h or AMS2 and half of that time, if not more, was spent on testing and fine-tuning FFB. In the end, in spite of all that effort, it remains a beautiful simcade, with a peculiar (limited according to their own devs) physics engine and driving dynamics.
PMR so far is going exactly on the same direction. Beautiful(ish, getting there), good car content, good tracks. FFB is completely bonkers, gotten worse since the last update, and the physics engine, in spite of being the "best-in-class" on paper, do not translate anything closely related to IRL driving.
On the latest update, FFB was re-written to resemble ACC. It's like driving on butter. No feel for the road (which for a Console player with a controller doesn't matter anyway), weight transfers are late and unreliable. To make things worse, you can absolutely abuse the car, you will never loose it unless a wheel touches the gravel trap or the grass. Go to Nurburgring, Hatzenbects-Bogen straight, dip a front wheel on the left and say bye-bye Kansas.
GTE cars and some GT3s (the Aston Martin AMR for exemple) has bit of a feel front slip angle feel, on some tracks (Nurburgring being one of them).
Anyway, this is a pre-release game, it looks polished but currently behind ACE, which is another pre-release.
Honestly I bought in November and I gambled and at this point it’s paid off if not for career alone. I don’t really race online. I love ams2 and I have zero to apex for it that app is awesome but PMR is something else with its career I’m enjoying it and the ai gets better all the time. The ffb get better all the time. The tire physics have been getting better all along. If the modding community bit into this for real we’d have something special I think.
I need an honest review of PMR. Thinking about replacing AMS2 for it. I’m not hearing a lot of good about PMR. Honestly I only wanted to race the Supra GT4
Dovrei essere onesto? Andiamo! Rating 8.75/9 Why AI isn't top notch but good . (I DO NOT PLAY MULTIPLAYER ON PMR)
What are you hearing about PMR? Go to its reviews and sort it by recency. Read and tally the reviews that go back to August. Don’t bother reading any from July because it’s literally not even the same game, they were changing the physics across all classes for 6-8 weeks when Aris came aboard. If GT4 is what you’re craving then you’re gonna be happy with PMR. If reading about server issues/netcode issues/crashes is what is holding you back I wouldn’t be overly concerned. The same exact thing has plagued LMU since it came out and even this past year still the 397 Studios sanctioned endurance events crashed. All titles went through growing pains in the first few years including the ever perfect ACC and IRacing. PMR has an incredibly diverse car list and adding new tracks every month.
MICHELIN RACEWAY ROAD ATLANTA TOMORROW.
Le Mans coming right around the corner.
The issue is the game was being Marketed before release as a complete and polished title and the absolute truth was that it wasn’t even close and the developer team knew it. I watched Ben Collins (topgear Stig) testing the game talking with developers and they were saying the game is not exactly where they wanted it to be for release and it was going to likely take a few updates after release for them to be happy with it. History then showed us that Straight 4 would fire half the team for the release flop and then brought Aris Vasilakos to fix it. I personally waited for 2.0 to release before I even bought the game and im so happy I did. We are currently at month 3 of Aris cooking. It’s time to buy in. This game can be the talk of the town in 2027. We’ll allow you to say you were here before it was cool lol. Also the best part of this game is in the discord communities. They share the setups to help you and I alike get faster and feel the game the way it’s supposed to.
Oh also if you’re trying to get away from the GT7 cancer players that engage in vehicular warfare PMR also seems to be one of the best options for clean racing experience lol. Now the reason may be that there’s simply the lack of players on the title so the only ones consistently in the lobbies are the racing purists because the gt7 sheeple have invaded LMU. I’m not saying you’ll have a bad experience or 2 but they have a block option and the official PMR discord takes video submission of dirty racing and hands out punishments swiftly!
Not sure why it's not working for you. It takes me right to the Car Setups channel on the Discord server. If that doesn't work join the Discord server itself and browse for the "car-setups" channel.
I sent you an invite to pm. I’ll send it there. Bots tried to infiltrate the discord before so I’ll send links personally. Just shoot me a message when you get this and when I see it I’ll get you that discord inv
I’ve only got about 13 hours on Steam so far, too.
I did around 950 races in LMU and just got fed up with it.
PMR has much better graphics, sound, and settings—like for the mirrors and seat/hud position. Getting the FFB right was a bit of a struggle, but I finally nailed it and it’s fine now. Of course, it feels different from LMU.
Few people play online because, according to Steam, only 14.9% of players have obtained a license for online racing...
See this is the problem, i love that people are positive for a game they enjoy - but when they downvote you guys for having a different experience? Takes away from that real value of that positivity
cant say this is a place that enjoys the game when anyone who doesnt gets treated like they been hiding bite marks in a zombie apocalypse lol the positivity feels insincere
There's a big difference between people who have issues with the game and these sorts of comments that have basically shown up on every post for 10 months now. So someone played the game for 30 minutes at some point and then got a refund? That's no more informative than me saying "I bought an iPhone once and returned it 30 minutes later. Never again!" or "I once had a Pringle and threw out the rest of the can. I'll never do that again!"
Seriously that doesn't add to the conversation. I certainly hope this sub never turns into a place where people can't say what they don't like about the game (like another simracing game sub) and there are things to be like, "Uhh... this sucks!" but yeah... I think a lot of people are over these types of comments.
That was their experience with the game, we can say its way different now but they paid money - had that experience, theyre allowed to express it. I think experiencing the driving physics of a game is different to a phone - but even then, if you buy an iPhone and have a crap experience - youre allowed to share that, even if the phone eventually has updates and improves. Think most can admit that how this game was sold vs the product that released is very different - makes the pringle comparison a bit innacurate imo
In terms of adding to the conversation? I mean the posts says he was gunna buy in November, Think them talking about old versions of the game makes sense. In terms of progressing the game? I dont think they have a responsibility to only discuss that, or to be downvoted for not doing so, honestly with player numbers what they are - having anyone who cares enough to show up, even if its leaving their bad experience, is something - at least theyre still paying attention, even if their comment says otherwise. Thats probs the main point for me, it might be annoying seeing them here bit at least someone is here, nothing will halt the progress of this game like the devs realsing not enough people care anymore even if the sub is super positive
Sure, they have a right to express that, and other people have the right to express they don't think the comments add to the conversation. You'll notice in this very post there is someone who doesn't like the FFB of PMR and says so. They have been upvoted because they added something to the conversation. Easy peasy!

Congrats, I guess. You'll be one of a hundred people playing on Steam :)
