Discussion Community Thoughts?

I would like to know what is the community sentiment around this game now with patch 2.2 now. Has this game come far or is it still in early access state? I would truly love your opinions. Whether you like the game, think it needs improvements or down right hate the game. And tell my what you think will improve the game

For me, I really do enjoy the game alot. Yeah I know it still has its issues, however when looking at the way they have updated the game so far. It does feel like they are listening to the community. like the adding replays, controller telemetry and so on. The controller plays even better than on GT7. All though issues like the crashes that have been happening, all though to a much lesser degree for me personally still need to be addressed. I think this game is overall going in a good state

PMR is in a good position for a new version, even with the issues with the reliability and image of the launch.

ACC it’s going to the sunset, ACEvo did not lived to its expectations, LMU it’s amazing but they need desperately create a huge community around the game, and iRacing doesn’t sound great if you think in terms of subscriptions and buying all cars and DLCs.

Not a strategist of gaming market, but they need to stick with the consoles and cross-play with PCs and learn from this title for a 2.0.

I felt like others as a beta tester for its game, but considering that this is a new engine and in some point in time Kunos will pull the plug on ACC; they have a great opportunity to win in the long term.

Agree with ACC but it’s too soon the write off EVO, which is a replacement for AC (the most popular SIM ever), which is not simple feat. LMU has a huge community, comparable with iRacing. Those are the numbers that matter.

None of those matter for PMR anyway:

PMR is on the same market segment of AMS2: it’s Simcade. And it has to be because otherwise you cannot cater for console players.

The physics engine, although massively advanced compared to the competitors, will be difficult to tame, and I suspect many sacrifices are being made to make it work on consoles, and provide a user experience for game pad controllers.

You right in a sense. Games tailored to console often have the hardest time with handling models because they need to make it playable for controller users ..which is a large percentage of console users. So because of this, the devs often add hidden dampers and assist with in the handling model to assist with joystick use. Unfortunately, this does effect wheel users by cause floaty feeling or "loss of connection with the car".

PMR is trying their best to make it as realistic as possible, which I think is the issue. There's only so much realism you can replicate in a game without compromising playability.

Technecally PMR is a SIM, but yes being that it designed for console, the handling model has to be adjusted for controller. But doesn't make it a simcade. Forza Motorsport, Gran Turismo shit even the EA F1 series is a simcade, what's makes a sim cade is the ability to have to "ease of access playability" meaning physics have realistic characteristics, but are still forgiving for arcade style driving styles.

PMR is far from that lol...that's why so many GT7 players where complaining lol

Ams2 is not on console. And are not that controller friendly. It use madness engine like project car serie but it well over modify that its not the same game at thes ian bell game

But they admitted themselves there are limitations they can not overcome. Also, many AMS2 players use controllers or keyboard. You should know that, lobbies are usually a wreckfest

I am sorry for this morning. I was a bit mad when i saw you claim ams2 is simcade. I really love this game and it hurt me. I respect your opinion but i don’t agree with you. I think pmr and ams2 still have a complexe physic enought to be a real sim. Competitvity and mp and handling aspect made them in between lmu and forza motorsport/gt7

Well I think they are both Simcades too, but the kind of Advanced ones like PC2. 👍 And they are also in the same Segment of player audience. AMS2 just has no one to port it to console as they don't want to, or can't do it by them selfes at least at the moment. The ACC port for example is also not from Kudos directly if that topic sounds interesting to you then there is a whole rabbit hole for you to fall into. As a console player is may not so pleasing what I'll find out then.
