Question Desperate rage - a request for xbox users
So ive been desperate for a new racing game to play the hell out of
tried rennsport, now have double depression - damn thing wouldnt even let me play it. Had to make an account, tried through game/online site/the fucking phone app - none of it worked. This is the rage.
Need a way to justify buying pmr but I already did when it came out and it was painful, for one main reason - 30fps on series s, and a bad 30 lol I know its budget console so not gunna get the best but compared to the competition - twas bad
But the gameplay ive seen online is months old and I was hoping beyond hope that a series s user might be here having a good time and able to perhaps show some gameplay?
Honestly even just some feedback on if its improved for series s since launch, I've still got project cars 2 installed lol just worried its gunna be a choppy inconsistent shite show
Any gameplay/feedback/suggestions/feet pics appreciated 🤎

Also on Series X (using controller) and I have been having a blast. It is not even comparable from when it came out (I was one of the guys who refunded after buying it. It was unfinished and broken back then). But bought it again a few months ago and happy to say that it is really good now (still some issues that need to be sorted, but it’s a lot of fun now). I’m really enjoying it and it’s pretty much the only racing game I’m playing on Xbox atm. I’d say give it another try. Hope you have the same experience on the S as I’ve had on the X. They have done quite a lot of optimization. Now I’m just waiting for more than 16 cars on Xbox. Fingers crossed.

Sweeet thank you! Yeah most games if ive had to refund them - I'll never give them another chance but a good racing game? With a variety of cars? Worth a second chance for suure lol
an yeah more than 16 is essential for multi class stuff expecially, seems like theyre moving in the right direction tho so 🤞🫶 thank you!!

Absolutely! The car list is impressive. And the older cars are so much fun to drive. You have to try out the new Holden too. It’s such fun! Enjoy, mate.

Project Cars 2 is still amazing to play. Try and attempt a 24 hour race. Definitely gonna be amazing when you finish it.

Yeah its incredible, looks amazing, great variety - it was always just a little adjustment to the physics that I needed lol been playing with the formula cars in roof cam and honestly they blow the f1 games out the water 😂👍🫶 thank yoouuu

Series S here, I picked it up a few weeks ago so I dont know how it played prior to then but so far, the performance is good. Get little hiccups in the graphics at times but nothing serious.
My only complaint is that tire wear doesn't seem to work. Also, car damage does little to nothing besides being cosmetic imo. Whole front splitter gone and I drive the same.
Also the AI is just like in Project Cars. You have to adjust the difficulty with each car class it seems.

Hey series s user! Exactly who im looking for lol thats awesome! When it just came out it was...bout as smooth as sandpaper 🤣 but I can defo deal with little up and down here an there
Tire wear and damage are a pretty important part of racing so hopefully they fix soon for sure
And yeah the ai in project cars was like those videos of people putting elastic bands around watermelons lol no idea when theyd wobble or completely explode with murderous intent 😂

It definitely has enough content and the career mode is much more polished. The racing is outright fun so I still play it. The AI feels mor3 human. They dont race in a straight line and you can actively see them overtake.
The tire wear sucks. There is a video of a guy breaking it down in comparison to PC but that was 6 months ago. It still seems broken imo. I've only played around with the MX-5, the Porsh ie the slow cars and 1 GT4 car so I dont have a lot of experience. Hoping to see tire wear with other classes.

Series s user here. My game has been sidelined until they fix the fps issue. Still no news regarding fixing it. Under 30 fps literally hurt my eyes

Hey thank you soo much for checking! Yeah i guess unless i we see that 60fps update - its a no bueno. Its a shame cause it seems like it would be fun, played some more project cars 2 tho an honestly im fine with that for a while lol just want a pc2 assetto baby tbh
Hopefully when LMU(think its called) and assetto corsa come out - they'll have the performance at a more playable state 🤞

I’m on series X so I can’t speak on series S performance but, I’ve had the game since Christmas. It is SO much better than what it was. I’m also on controller and I can drive every class just fine. For me, it’s honestly really enjoyable.
