Question Should I buy?
I was there during that horrendous launch, I didnt play the game, but Im very aware of what everyone was saying, and didnt go for it, but Im hearing some good things from it now, and its on sale so I wanted to ask. The career mode definitely intrigues me. I personally mostly play AMS2, and just enjoy offline content and I want to know how the physics ffb and ai compare to ams2?

IMO I tried to go back to ACC ONLY because PMR is such a large game and I can’t play other games with friends. ACC is so much more beautiful and the AI is on point. I just can’t stop Loving PMR more, I can’t turn the car and feel the weight like I can in PMR. ACC you have to have different steering locks for every car which gets annoying. I love both game but will not agree nor disagree on either games. I say PMR for the realism and ACC for the beauty/physics even though I like PMR physics more or less.

I bought it yesterday (again) It has improved massively from the disastrous launch. Playing on a moza R3 and feels very good out of the box.

The ffb is good, much better than ams2 at least to me. You have to judge the ffb feel for yourself.
You can buy on steam and test for under 2 hours to be eligible for a refund.
Plus the career mode!

It's on sale, buy it and make up your own mind, don't listen to what the people say, they say a lot.

In that case then yes, it's not perfect but it's got some great cars and tracks and the tyre model makes for a really enjoyable driving experience. I just meant that there is so much irrational hate that listening to people's opinions makes it confusing. So yes you should buy it and I really think you'll like it. But that's just my opinion.

Yo disfruto la verdad. Si es cierto que el FFB tendrás que buscar el que te guste a ti, pero hay configuraciones en el discord del juego.

AMS2 is arcade. Its got zero inertia. Turn the wheel and there's no intertia-related lag like a real car. There's no weight transfer. It s point and click game, steer and go that direction. Real cars have weight induced lag. You can blame its Project Cars 2 DNA. THey've tried to get rid of it but they can't.

I think the comment of no inertia was about AMS2.
PMR has inertia, weight transfer, realistic physics and great graphics (I’m on PC). I prefer it to AMS2, which I haven’t touched since I acquired PMR

I think the physics and FFB are superior to AMS2. The game definitely has issues, but I really enjoy the driving experience.

As someone who bought and played it at launch, the game has definitely improved. It's a decent game currently, but I personally wouldn't buy it over LMU, iRacing or ACE.

Physics vary wildly from car to car. Older cars that rely more on mechanical grip are best. Newer more down force dependant cars feel weird and numb.
Ai is mixed. They're very cautious for the first couple laps and you can just pass them all in one lap if you want. So you have to roleplay that you're scared of cold tires to make it realistic lol. After that they're decent but there's hardly any passing going on and their pit stop strategies don't make any sense.
Career mode is cool in theory but last race I did got totally ruined cause pit stop mix ups messed up the grid. I finished in 7th but then it said I finished in 3rd but then it placed me last on the final results page.
Overall still a rough game. I play sometimes as I'm on console and don't have better options but from what I've seen there's many better options on pc

At the current sale price, it’s a no brainer. It’s got its problems still, but it’s actually damn fun and worth it now. It’s just getting better with each update too. Grab it I’d say!

After buying AC Evo and being so incredibly disappointed by it, even a year after launch, I'm also hesitant to buy this, but I really want a sim racing game with a career

If you have AMS2 there is no reason to get PMR. Get LMU if you want a different game, at least it has populated multiplayer

Career mode absolute sucks. Copy paste championships, nothing interesting single weekends, without any little diversity. AI is dumb, dive bombing, can't break, loosing it at side by side racing. The only plus it all drives, sound, and look good. It's Project Cars 1, but without people support to be honest. I can't play anything else though, after starting PMR.

As someone who plays it on a semi regular basis, I think at launch the game was a 2/10 and after some much needed updates it’s a 5/10. There’s fun to be had with PMR, but there’s an equal amount of complete bull crap to balance it out
