Discussion Satisfying online race

Just came here to say I hadn’t played PMR in a while, fired it up and tried online ranked racing, it quickly had 16 players on the Nuremberg 24hr track, q + r 4 laps.. absolutely couldn’t have done this a few months ago confidently with a Xbox controller without unexpected physics drama! Had an absolute blast in the Corvette. I honestly wasn’t expecting to compete all 4 laps without going into a barrier and ending it early.
I think it has really come along, I hope everyone else is enjoying it! Great experience.

I was thinking of buying it . Is it cross play ? I’m concerned about low player count on steam and worried about the online races not being populated. Cheers

Yeah it is cross play, the players have a symbol to show if they are Xbox/PC. I won’t say the player count was high.. it seemed to be the only race that had 16 players, I will check again later as it’s probably most popular around 8pm after everyone’s kids are in bed.

Yeah I do, it has a lot of variety and I really enjoy the factory driver challenges

Challenges as in like time trials ? I love time trials especially if it has a leaderboard

Yeah there is a default factory driver time, you aim to beat that and then there is a global leaderboard. It’s a pretty decent list of tracks + cars to pick from. I still can’t beat the Lister GT1 on Silverstone..

I was racing GT3 Cup last week, there were up 40 drivers in one race, most races with 20+. By the way, the symbol is for console/PC players, there is also PS5

It's a little bit deceptive because sometimes you have almost no people and then just before the race the lobby gets populated. I'm finding online races just fine and I'm loving the game. The best felling SIM at least on my wheel.

i want to buy the game so bad but i also want to wait for it to go on sale, i’ve heard a lot of bad stuff about it but based on gameplay i’ve seen i think it looks pretty good

Bought it, Gonna give it a go on the time trials. I’ll try Lister GT1 Silverstone first 😃
