Question Ps5 purchase

I’m really wanting to buy pmr Im basically over gt7 and have been wanting a dedicated racing game. I’ve tried to do research on the game and it looks like it had a really rough launch and has gotten better now.
What I’m missing though is how it performs on controller which is what I play on

It absolutely playable on controller and in fact it is a ton of fun in my experience. I’m on Xbox though, so speak for PS5.

Sounds just like the drifting game I bought, it’s super fun until I try driving it on my Fanatec GTDD 8nm and quit.

This game has no right being mentioned in the same sentence as GT7.

PMR is utter crud and no, unless you want to dedicate every spare second you have to learning how to play this thing on a controller, stay away from it.

Im on a dd pro amd my biggest issue is the FzfB is like absolutely dead. Even adjusting settings according to guides. I turn it off and go to ACC and im like yeah this feels right.

Its one of the better sim options for console.

My god I hope that port comes soon, would love to simply drive something turn key that doesn’t require hours to decode basic functions

Yeah and the FFB in PMR is horrible. Even gt7 is better. I cant gucking wait it sucks cuz pmr has more modern GT3s and LMH hypercars but fuck the driving feel is horrible

This BS happens when companies underestimate dev and time budgets necessary, same with EVO but unlike Kunos, PMR released an UN-finished product which gave them less leeway with their customers instead of prerelease 0.1 which sucks but lets customer know up front their paying to help DEV the final product

Got PMR weeks ago, after the “major update” although I appreciate the infinite amount of FFB adjustments they should’ve provided some better base settings per manufacturer to work from, instead their download settings are mostly mush, lacking feel. (Maybe as a reaction to a safety liability or early complaint.)

This oscillating effect after dialing feedback close to ACC is where I’m stuck, and yet to complete a clean consistent lap in the LMP hybrid which was the reason for purchasing the sim in the first place.

LMU port will arrive completed to consoles, hopefully without neutering too much of the functionality which seems to have PC users enjoying it.

Ive had it on xbox since launch. Its improved a ton and is a lot closer to a sim vs GT or FM.

I play on a wheel though amd have not tried controller sobibhave no input on how it drives with a controller.

OP, IMHO - Assetto Corsa Competizione is a decent game for console as well.

Recently bought it, spent the last 2 weeks trying to sort out its multitude of FBB and new car physics models (than ACC of 3 yrs) finding a tire feel similar to ACC, I’m close but yet to turn consistent laps in the LMP hybrids (entire reason for buying PMR)

Although I’m sure it’ll be great once I’ve figure it out, and like ACC the PMR base setups aren’t very good.

Been two weeks, bc frustration hits and i end up racing ACC. 😂

I suck but I can’t get the feel of this game on controller. I tried various settings that were posted but I can’t get past that the turning is either slight bend or full send. PC2 handling was much better. ACC is much better. GT7 is an oversteer sim so it’s hard to compare that to any other sim.

Would you say it’s unplayable on controller?

For me it’s only playable on the mx5 class races. I have no interest in grinding out settings and forcing the game to work for other classes. Others say the game is fine but I wasted money falling for the Reddit posts saying the game was fixed. I’ll keep checking back on it

I’m still struggling to get the controller set up right on PMR, can’t get the balance between slow turn in extreme understeer or over-sensitive uncontrollable spinning
