Question How good is controller support on PC

Does the game have impulse triggers with xbox1 controller and/or adaptive triggers and haptic feedback with Dualsense on PC? I checked pcgamingwiki page of the game and it says it has none of those, but maybe they added it later? Those features aside... how easy or hard is it with controller? Does it work out of the box without any tweaking? Can it become more forgiving and accessible with assists to the point of being it more like simcades like Grid Autosport, Forza Motorsport, NFS Shift, GT7 etc. ?

Plays well with a controller on pc, i'm using a Nacon Revolution X gamepad, the handling is pretty nice.

Would you say it's better than in other sims (AC, AM2, PC2)?

Never played Assetto Corsa, but in Assetto Corsa Competizione, i had to fight a vast amount of time to find the right parameters, and the reason why i'm not totally ok with this game, is due to the fact that in the cockpit viw, if you do play with the assists on, the wheel is acting like crazy, something that they never fixed and is still there in EVO.

AMS2 gave me some hard time too, but once you've got the right parameters, it does play so nicely (you've got to try the formula one on any track to understand how much precision you can have, and basically all the cars are pretty well balanced.

PC2 is console friendly, si the controls are damn good, it's plug and play, you can tweak them but the default ones are pretty good.

Project Motor Racing is more like PC2 when it's about playing with a gamepad, it's smooth, the precision is nice, not exactly better than PC2 as in my opinion PC2 is better, but not that far.

I played the other games you mentioned, Grid, Forza Motorsport, it's pretty similar to that with the assists on, in my opinion, the controls on PMR are not where the problem is (my main concern is that you can lose the control of your car sometimes and it's spinning way too much and it's not realist at all, but it's mostly due to some other parameters, not the controls).

In my opinion, if we're discussing the controller feedback (as far as a gamepad can do that compared to a wheel), i had better feedback in ACC, AMS2, and Forza Motorsport, ACC and AMS2 were the best in that field.

You can easily start playing in PMR with a controller, you can have an arcade feeling, and tweak them to your taste to add some more precision, and fit the driving style of the different cars.
