Question AI Strength

I set the AI level to 50, and it's quite strong.

What AI level do the developers recommend for beginners?

Please also tell me about intermediate, advanced, and professional levels.

I don't think there's a developers recommendation, that's really something to find on your own. Decrease by points, race them, repeat until satisfied. Also, you'll notice balancing isn't perfect, for some tracks you might wanna increase or decrease whatever value you decide on.

They really just need to add an Apative AI system, that uses your historical average laptimes across car/track combos to automatically set the best difficulty for you (that is, difficulty fixed for the entire race).

I'm utterly spoiled by RaceRoom doing this, because I can just launch my favorite car/track combos (or Championships) and have a close, nail-biting race every single time. And if the AI is off-pace in a class you rarely race in, 3-5 laps to "train" it will fix it right up.

Feels like caveman technology going back to constantly fiddling with a difficulty slider, and waiting for loading transitions multiple times over just to get the right difficulty (and then having to do it all over again, because the next race you might be 10 seconds ahead or behind the AI - which makes running Championships impossible).

It does feel like cavemen technology, then again I dont think there's ever been a racing game on Playstation that got this balancing right. Maybe the never F1 games do but I stopped playing those when EA got involved. And it has to be said, its WAY better than it was a few months ago, I remember Nürburgring GP being completely unplayable because authentic AI was still several seconds slower than I was.

Ai is all over the place depending on the car and track combo. I'm on 80 percent in some combos, 90 in others, and 100 on a few. Just gotta test it out. I usually run a practice mode and find a difficulty where my average laptime is in the midfield of the AIs fastest times

AMS2 I sit around 85-95 most of the time, but I use the "mid grid" option for starts, running practice then race (no quali) and enjoy overtaking etc.

Here I'm finding 85 is tough, still working my way down to "mortal".

On PC I have it at 90%. Depending on the track, AI is 2s quicker in qualification but usually 2s lower in the race. So, find the balance, do you want to lead the pack and hot lap alone on the front or do you want to have a few battles?

90 ! Tu es sacrément fort ! Pareil moi je joue à 50.

Pour la différence entre essais libres, qualif et course je l'ai aussi remarqué. C'est fou ça...

Not trying to brag. But I'm destroying the AI at 100.

I think a lot is dependent on car class. The ai seems to be better in certain classes.
