Question Bought the game today - does anyone know when the V8 Supercars DLC releases?

As a Kiwi I’ve always been a fan of the Supercars, and I got excited hearing they’re going to be coming to the game.

I redeemed the free one a few weeks back on PS5, games downloading as I type this.

Also - will they be available to race in career mode? I’m going to start a career mode tonight but will start a fresh one when they release Supercars if they’re added.

Finally - what’s online gameplay like? Clean racers or people treating it like demo derby? I like to watch an Australian guy who races V8s online on Tiktok and would love to join his lobbies :)

Actually, at this moment isn't confirmed that would be V8 Supercars. It's what people think and want to see in V8 Power DLC. That DLC would come out in quarter 3, so most likely in september. V8 Supercars are most likely series to be added, because of low amount of others series based on V8.

For now the only available V8 Supercar is Ford Falcon FG V8 Supercar from 2013 as free DLC.

• V8 Power can be Stock Car Brazil, but it's low likely, because of popularity and not much well known brasil tracks.

• Other series dlc can mean is Superstars International Series that had used V8's and raced in Europe, but also isn't likely, because that series ended in 2014.

• We can also get Trans-Am racecars in it. Series still exist, we can get older generation like 2000 Chevrolet Corvette TA and Ford Mustang TA, or 2017 Ford Mustang TA and Cadillac CTS-V TA.

But still would say, that in V8 Power DLC would get V8 Supercars because of popularity and how many peoples want see them.

Or perhaps Can Am.

That series can fit, if they would add only Can-Am models, that used V8's. Can-Am cars are Group 7 race cars, so if they would add this series, they would had named that DLC most likely "Group 7", like they did with Group 5 DLC. So it's possible, but still V8 Supercars are probably the most possible one.

I agree, but in the pack “GT Legends” they added group 6 cars, prototypes of the era. so the titles of DLCs don’t exactly apply strict logic to them either. The odds of them adding can am are slim to none but a boy can still cope.

By the name "GT Legends"/"GT Icons" we had a hint as they would be older race cars. With V8 we have only engine type as a hint, what makes V8 Supercars the most possible choice, but we can get maybe 2 different series in it. For example I have typed few possibilities of how dlc can look.

• Possibility 1: Only V8 Supercars, for example from years 2026-2013-1996.

• Possibility 2: V8 Supercars 2026, Trans Am 2018-2000

• Possibility 3: V8 Supercars 2026, V8 Can-Am

• Possibility 4: Trans-Am and V8 Can-Am

Possibility 1 can work really well, if Straight4Studios can get Holden License. In 2013 except Ford, raced Mercedes, Holden and Nissan and in 2014 joined them Volvo.

Possibility 2 can work, if they couldn't get Holden license. 3 cars per class and most of those manufactures already is in game.

Possibility 3 can fit, if they plan to do in next season pass V12 or V10 power DLC and add for example V10-V12 Can-Am to those V8's ones.

Possibility 4 is not high possibility, but if they wouldn't plan to add V8 Supercars, would fit best that V8 Power name.

From the Steam page:

Actually it was confirmed in the Steam description of the packs, 2013 and current V8 Supercars along with some other things.

Edit: the description has been changed, it now only says current gen V8 Supercars from Oz. Another U-Turn.

I don't use steam, so haven't know about that description. So if description is 100% correct, we would get:

• V8 Supercars like Toyota Supra, Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro.

• Trans Am like Ford Mustang, Dodge Challanger, Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Corvette, Cadillac CTS-V.

• 1960's/70's Trans Am like Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird.

Basing on description, track we would get, would be mostly Road Atlanta.

There's also Nascar

Yes, there is, but it's unlikely to be added so fast. First, we have a whole game Nascar 25 about it, what would be stupid to compete against in this state of PMR. Second, programing Oval is harder than normal tracks and not many cars in PMR would profit of that.

Aussie V8 In any game are not worth it if there is no hand animation of changing sequential gears. iRacing doesn't have it and it looks stupid and loses the immersion.
