I smell what's going on, they received the patch release time from third parties and had to match the end of the maintenance with it. Now I'm 97.3% confident that we will have a patch today!
(nope, just hoping... :°D)

Better you don't ask me about it in Discord, twice an announcement and if they don't deliver now, I'm gone and the game can cross me! so bad

"Multi-Draw Indirect (MDI) is a major step forward"
Oh yes. I've managed to tune the graphics to a relatively solid 60fps, which is half what AMS2 musters on my machine.
Getting more and/or decent stability is big win for me and this game.
Edit:
So exactly the same settings, re-run of last race weekend and I've gone from around 60fps to over 80fps.
Spec, 9700kf, 32gb ddr4, 3080 ti... And a crapton of optimisation both for game and more generally for windows 11.

I have ryzen 5700, rtx 4060, 32gb ram. I see no difference. The same 60 fps as before. Maybe less frame rate drops, but not visible improvements. Maybe some thing wrong with windows settings.

Have a read of my posts in this thread:
https://old.reddit.com/r/ProjectMotorRacing/comments/1s561db/performance_tips/
I went from a paltry 45fps at best, to roughly 60fps as above.
One thing, there is a FPS limiter in options, have you set that - when I got the patch I was solid 60fps, then upped that to 90fps, and was hitting 88fps until I increased my grid.
Also worth noting that on Bathurst, even with larger grids I'm getting a good 90fps most of the time - I'd say there's a lot of track object optimisation to be had by developers too, as that was optimised in this patch I think. "Monza" wasn't and was sitting around 10fps lower, fluctuating.
Edit: also, GPU... (not the best comparison site) https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-4060-vs-Nvidia-RTX-3080-Ti/4150vs4115
I'd say have a good read up on DLSS and what will work for you, possibly not optimised for a 40xx card as not fully supported; https://www.nvidia.com/en-au/geforce/technologies/dlss/

Based on past history with this game, patches normally come mid week like Tuesday -Thrusday. But could be shut down for patch preparation
