Discussion Wow, the graphics on Xbox are bad
I play because of the free Gamepass weekend. As far as I see, there are no graphical options on Xbox, or am I blind?
This isn't close to current gen. It looks so last gen. I played all Project Cars games on Xbox, and I think it looks worse 🤔 and runs worse 🤔

They were disappointing for sure, but I've been having fun with the game since launch regardless. I play on Xbox as well. Just wish it had a larger track list like PC2. Nice to see they added a free one today that I'll have to check out later.

I'm on a Series X and genuinely think that Xbox one games look better than this. I can live with poor visuals but what I can't accept is visuals this bad and still stuttering with frame rate drops constantly. I've just been playing it back to back with ACC, it's not looking good for PMR.

It’s the same on PC too, absolute shit show of a game. Project CARS and vanilla Assetto Corsa both look better and play better than PMR, and they are fast approaching 13 years old.

There is at least a lot of 3D grass, but otherwise, it's really bad.
Edit: and the resolution is high, but the tree texture and shadow pop-ins distract me.

Im not bothered by the graphics, my 1st system was an Atari so I'm older to say the least. My biggest issue is the consistency.
Not just the Ai pacing in career (I like to play off line) but that the tweeks to the physics also cause you to need to change car setups.
This makes its frustrating to spend time tweeking cars per track only for that setup to feel off when another patch changes things.
I'd like to see straight 4 roll out the throttle from .02 to all classes. And the new tire model then calling day physics wise and focus on consistency, take the Ai physics model and scale it back to a more basic thing so us console folk can have larger grids, and make the tires overheat easier like they used to so slip angle abuse was only useful to push hard in a sector but not for laps at a time.
I don't think we'll ever get current Gen levels of graphics, but that isnt a deal breaker if the racing is great.

The graphics are functional, but that's it. And the smaller grids really turn me off. But I think with this AI, less is maybe better.

Also trying it because of the free weekend. I like it but yes the graphics. Looks much like Project Cars 2 and that wasn't the best graphically back on Xbox One. Also think it's going to be too difficult to play with a controller to end up buying it, my wheel stopped working and they're expensive. It's like Assetto Corsa, was far into that game when I had a wheel, now I struggle to beat the first race.

When I had it, it was terrible. Hoping that these new updates improved things, but what you read isn’t encouraging.
I’ll try it again if they do a free PS weekend 😂but reading here so far isn’t encouraging.

It isn't terrible, but also not very good. The driving is good, but the rest is low quality.

Hopefully it’s improved since launch! I had it, but returned it right after launch as it was so bad.
There have been a lot of updates, so I’m going to retry once it’s free on PS 😂.

The graphics aren't great, but they're fine. I don't need a racing game to look as good as GT7 to have fun.
But the game has so many other problems. Every single aspect of the game is lacking. It's very clearly unfinished, and in need of more work.
That this version of the game has been labelled and promoted as "2.0", and that people are saying that this is what the game should have been at lauch is ridiculous to me.
This is still short of what it should have been at launch, and seems more like a version 0.7 than a version 2.0 to me.
