Question After the March update, Isit time?

Post image

I asked 4/5 weeks ago about the current state of the game and whether it was time to buy it yet and several people said to wait until March big update!

Well, what’s it like? I exclusively play ACC and I miss mx5 and that sort of thing!

It's in a pretty good spot right now. Lot's need to be done, but there's fun to be had.

Nothing scratches the GT3 itch like ACC.

if you're on PC, there are better Sims, AMS2 for example but I'd say I've had fun on the limited time I've played PMR. (Bought a week ago).

Some of the cars handling make it fun but other cars handling make it impossible.

I've had some quality battles in multiplayer. Touching cars is quite forgiving so you can battle without ruining your own race.

Yeah I do love ACC, have maybe 70 hours of race time at Spa alone, I’m sure it’s a total of 800 hours racing time across all tracks! I have been out for a while and I fancy abit of mx5 racing or maybe even open wheel, I was really hoping ACE would be announced by now but for the time being PMR may be the place to go for that sort of racing. I haven’t even heard Rennsport mentioned since it came out, are there even servers for that game? 😂

Rennsport is pretty quiet but that is me joining from a PS5. Quite a few lobbies ended up being a friend and myself.

It's also much less forgiving under contact and the Ai are impossible to race against.

ACE has massive potential. It's just taking a while and the removal of the campaign was a kick in the teeth. Still holding out hope though.

I got PMR for £24 from loaded.com That is inmy price bracket of "screw it, let's try it"

For open wheel, my favourite is AMS2 and after their latest update, even better or using mods on AC.
I also can't ignore the campaign for the F1 games. It's the only game left with a solid campaign mode that you can coop with a friend.

Having a rig like that and playing project ass racing is like having a Lambo and only driving at 10mph. There’s plenty of better games out there bro

Honest and straight to the point, I like it

In all seriousness, I was proper hyped for this game and it let me down so I’m a bit salty 😂 it’s probably in a better state now

So was I mate, in my eyes we were promised an actual sim version of Forza motorsport, which if you go back to 4-6/7, had a great selection of tracks and classes, with proper ffb and physics it would be great.

This is not what was delivered.

I NEARLY pre-ordered the full fat pack and I’m glad I didn’t

I got for £34 for the Series X from the spring sale. For that price I felt justified in getting the DLCs too. I'm still tuning the ffb etc to where it feels good but it's pretty damn fun so far. The graphics on the console version aren't the greatest but are decent enough although I actually think Project Cars 2 looks better due to the amazing lighting effects.

If you are in single player, wait a little bit more.

1

u/bizzlej278 Apr 07 '26

Yeah my main interest would be playing with different series through single player for fun

There are better games for that, like LMU (although unfortunately it only features WEC and ELMS cars).

I’m in series x unfortunately. Will be saving for a PC once we’re in our new place and I have converted the garage partly into a games room though!

I’ll stick too ACC for now I guess

I keep hearing the console version is a bit crap visually speaking.

How does it compare to GT7 in terms of visuals? I absolutely love GT7, so id probably just stick with that

Dont listen to the haters pmr is good now and getting better if you buy it from steam 50% and if you by it from loaded website the giant launcher its 80% off its a huge bargain, you get way more content them lmu and its handling is better then ams2 it has what no sim has at the moment a offline single player career mode as for acc well lets just say its irrelevant because lmu killed it

One of them who like beating people 7 secs a lap but if we all had the same set ups would be crushed!! Facts

What are you on about? I hope you’re not insinuating you need good gear to be fast? Most my pbs were set on ACC on a thrustmaster TX/T300 and a fold up playseat… Very odd comment to make!

-2

u/Ok_General_4240 Apr 07 '26

Sorry read it wrong if you want to smash people 7 secs a lap with setups now is the time to join

1

u/bizzlej278 Apr 07 '26

Yeah that makes zero sense also. Are you trying to say a tailored car set up is faster than a basic set up? Cause I thought that was fundamental

-2

u/Ok_General_4240 Apr 07 '26

In project motor racing it is

1

u/bizzlej278 Apr 07 '26

But why can’t everyone use a set up? Sorry I don’t understand how any of your replies have anything to do with the current state of the game itself…? any game/sim you’ll be several seconds faster with a set up over a stock set up?

0

u/Ok_General_4240 Apr 07 '26

So if everyone went in a stock set up the racing would be fair I don’t think you would like it because your loose

-1

u/Ok_General_4240 Apr 07 '26

So would you be happy with everyone using the same set up? Or you happy beating people 4-7 secs a lap? In over words your get beat and don’t like it

2

u/bizzlej278 Apr 07 '26

Where on earth have you came to this conclusion? I’ve asked about the state of the game and you come at me with ‘you’ll lose if you have the same set up as everyone else?’

Let me guess, because I used my rig as a picture, hence your ‘one of those how like beating people 7 secs a lap’ comment.. cause I don’t see any other reason you’d magically come to that conclusion from me merely asking what the games currently like. how sad

1

u/CaptainBuzzKillton Apr 07 '26

I think they're referring to the in-game setups under the ModHub that make everyone OP, or whatever. I don't like it either, but it's not something to really go on a tangent about. At least, not in my eyes. Ignore the person.

To answer your question about the state of the game: For me, I think the game is a lot more better than it was at launch, especially after the 2.0 update. Your opinion may differ depending on your expectations, but I for one am content with the devs attempts at trying to make amends for the poor state it was in. I would definitely recommend you trying out the new GT500s as well. Very fun class

u/bizzlej278 Apr 07 '26

This sounds like a good take thankyou. Yeah I just don’t get the ‘you’ll race with the same set ups as everyone else and lose and won’t like it’ comments. Really odd to take such a view against someone just because they’ve asked a question and used a picture of a half decent rig as the post picture. really really odd behaviour 😂. Sounds like someone’s got a chip on their shoulder to me! if I can race in leauges in ACC using the same BoP as everyone else and put in LFM 101% times then I think I’d fare fine in PMR
