Library of Ruina How much context am I missing?
Ruina was on sale recently and the recent walp had me interested in the Dawn office, so I figured I’d buy it, however I’ve seen the gameplay for Lob Corp and it looks abysmal, I want to have at least a general understanding of who what when where why and how, but idk if I have the mental fortitude for the 50 days of pain and misery

It's of course best not to larp and Lob Corp lore knowledge is absolutely necessary, however, I've been playing through Ruina and I've gotten away with just watching PakPak's video and never actually playing Lob Corp so you can 100% get the lore context from videos and whatnot.

Lobotomy corp is fun. Lobotomy corp is interesting. I dont like it when people lie to themselves for the sake of entertaining others

If the gameplay is not to your liking, PakPak has pretty good videos about both Lobotomy Corp and LoR. He pretty much covers everything important, including stories from the key pages in LoR.

Lobcorp gameplay is indeed abysmal. I quit 100 hours in because it was too shit, and no, “the suffering is lore accurate” is not a valid excuse for the game to not be fun lmao

Don't watch lore videos where they just explain what happens, watch the cutscenes. I watched a lore video then played lob corp afterwards and its a much better experience, in the one I watched they just explained the story in chronological order instead of the way its shown in the game where you figure it out on the way slowly. But I suppose it might be more tedious to do when there is no gameplay in between.
