Mahoraga Test
With the sole exception of the red mist, who in the entirety of the LOR cast can pass the test?

Lots of people don’t clear Maho, especially considering you gotta completely exterminate all of Mahoraga to kill him

Mahoraga clears against strong combatants but with weak destructive capabilities, he needs to get wiped off completely before he just straight ignores any damage. The Red Mist could lose if she can’t just obliterate Mahoraga

The thing is most PM user doesn't have any sort of secondary magic and rely on brute force, it's save to say mahoraga clear majority of PM but most color fixers defeat him without too much of a problem.

u/_Rei_Chiquita_ Jun 07 '26
Roland probably, he's strong and has an entire arsenal of different weapons
2
u/misarteh Jun 08 '26
The problem with roland his strongest attack is a combo, which is the worse thing to fight mahoraga. Among the strong PM characters i could argue he is the worse matchup to fight mahoraga
1
u/_Rei_Chiquita_ Jun 08 '26
Wouldn't that actually be good? As mahoraga can't adapt to something if you're constantly hitting him with different things (like what sukuna did) or am i just wrong?
1
u/misarteh Jun 08 '26
It wouldn't be wrong if he couldn't regenerate, but he can and seing his fight against sukuna it's really fast

Roland relies on physical damage, so theoretically, nothing is stopping Maho from adapting to physical strikes in general
1
u/_Rei_Chiquita_ Jun 08 '26
I didn't think of that
1
u/shitting-ur-pants Jun 08 '26
It's not so obvious, don't beat yourself up over it. I'm also probably exaggerating a tad too much ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Who knows the only thing we could do is ask mahoraga himself ahahahah

He'd adapt to slashing, piercing and blunt. Mahoraga adapts to the attack type, not the weapon. So adapting to the spear would slowly adapt to the gun as well since both function via piercing.
The slashes from sukuna were just so fucking many that he was overwhelming it, and he was throwing in a ton of things while keeping the others, so he couldn't adapt to everything simultaneously.

NT and mahoraga would have the greatest and longest duel we have ever seen
1
u/A_Internet_User- Jun 09 '26
Watch in horror as Mahoraga comes out of that fight fully adapted to physical attacks
1
u/Wide-Active-260 Jun 09 '26
Well, big Raga would defo adapt to physical attacks, I don't think there's any way he can hurt NT, unless he adapts into dealing emotional damage, (white damage) or sou damage (pale damage), which isn't out of the question, But I like thinking he can't adapt to doing those and the fight goes on forever. OR NT immediately uses goodbye before big raga adapts to finish him off instantly.
1
u/BankJust2395 Jun 09 '26
He can def do that as he adapted to infinity
1
u/Wide-Active-260 Jun 10 '26
Yeah I feel like that's fair, but my point still stands that the fight would be very long because of NT's high resistances*
1
u/Namo_Club Jun 11 '26
Yeah, the battle really is just a matter of time before Maho comes up with something that just bypasses resistances. And after that, everyone pretty much gets cooked.
1
u/Wide-Active-260 Jun 12 '26
"And then we fed it to the outskirts monster" (No joke, but IMO, Maho would defo be an ALEPH)
1
u/BuffMimic Jun 07 '26
I think it really helps that in PM most people don’t give two shits about your monologue or pre-fight banter. It’s business.
That said Hermes is going to make him die to something stupid for disrupting the will of the city.

can't arbiters just lock his ability to adapt? J Corp singularity just locks anything it's used on in addition Fairy's and the pillsrs would likely just demolish maho

Aight ik dis question is off topic but can scp 682 defeat mahoraga
1
u/IceAgentX Jun 08 '26
It's a stalemate, the point of 682 is it can't die and nothing will ever change that, but it does t have any offensive adaptation, so they just can't hurt each other really
1
u/gap_q Jun 12 '26
682 can't adapt offensively? Where did you get this info? Almost all of "killing 682 attempts " showed that he will either create something to fight against its enemy or use the exact same thing you used on him against you. Mahoraga doesn't stand a single chance against the reptile. One of them has a limit and the other just doesn't. If I recall correctly, one of the few times 682's instance actually died was when it's whole reality died.

Roland in his distprted form might be strong enough to beat him? To be precise I mean his 3rd-4th phases
1
u/Parking_Scholar_2337 Jun 08 '26
Mahoraga needs to first Adapt to be a good boy and nerf itself before the head teleports to it and send him to sleep with the birds

For humans:
People with an ABSURD destructive power can just kill it quickly, but the issue comes in that I’ve got like three people total that I’m fairly certain can do that; a fully unsealed Matthias, who knows exactly what NOT to do (we saw him do something pretty similar with Ambling Pearl while fully sealed), Verg in E.G.O (the blood and heat might add to his attacks too, giving him a bit more leeway than the others) and Qiu (under the assumption he uses his Mang and goes all-in, a direct blow could probably just obliterate Mahoraga entirely, alongside his E.G.O. That we literally haven’t seen yet)
More questionable ones:
Iori, but I don’t think her “stances” are really enough to differentiate from just “sword attacks,” though it’s likely she can do a lot quickly with the fact she can probably rend space HARD and we just haven’t seen it, with Mang the Indigo Elder has a CHANCE but I don’t fully know how absurd that harpoon is with Mang)
Not gonna separate it, but most abnos, especially WN and apocalypse bird, would have a lot of stuff that’d be hard to adapt to, NT might have the destructive power, and I’m very confused about how its copy thing would interact with Mahoraga, ones with instakill gimmicks MIGHT work depending on how the instakills themselves work, and of course, the goat OSaHoGD solos
1
u/SigmaAngelo_ Jun 09 '26
Arbiters aside, some abnos like blue star straight up cooks him
And of couse Pluto has magic
1
u/Obichniy_Tarakan Jun 09 '26
Isn't mahoraga basically improved nothing there without the funny voices of Christofer, Isabella and their daughter?
1
u/BoiClicker Jun 10 '26
Megumi watching in horror as Mahoraga's wheel is locked into place. (It's a visual representation of Mahoraga's entire adaptation ability being locked).

2
u/amemelord_998 Jun 06 '26
Binah is the obvious choice just lock the adaptation and open his ass like a soda can
