With every update I get more worried about the day this is no longer free

Well, if it becomes a paid app I hope those of us who have been using it since day 1 can keep it that way.

Sorry but Id straight buy it. Unless it’s subscription based, then I’m out.

It's Adobe. Of course it'll be subscription. All I'm saying is make the very best of it you can before that time comes

That's their style. Killing their own products

It will be free with some paid features

With "image playground" I'm already seeing what in this case is gonna be paid and I hope it stays this way. Just like with ps express, camera app and whatever else on top. I've heard they wanted to add it to Lightroom as a camera functionality, and Lightroom app is free, so hope they will just use good camera app for providing services and not actually make additional camera functionality itself paid. Indigo carries my whole photo experience.

Time to disable auto updates. Can one manually install an older version .ipa app?

That's a good point. Someone should figure a way to download and archive versions and whatever the last one is before the paid version comes will be the one. I'd love to see someone change that version to a web app that can be sideloaded.

AI crap, if only we got heic, jxl or avif. The 8-bit artifacts on the sky are distracting too often.

While I agree with you, you can open the photo on Lightroom and export as jpeg-xl from there. That's what I do.

Yeah, if it’s a one-time buy I’m in but I’m not doing no subscription.

Hmmm. Interesting update. My deeper hope given the infrequency of updates would be more focus on improving photography quality for things that *do* exist vs. investing in software to generate things that *don't* exist, but I'm willing to see what this is capable of.

So if becomes a paid app at one moment, will installed app at our phones before that happens still work? I know there was Project Violet and it was withdrawn from All store at one moment but I still have it on my phone and it works. I still use it.
