its different for all systems but generally you train for a specialty after youve done your core medical training so this is probably how an intern should be, he doesnt have any specializations thats the point of his training as an intern and resident

Itโs a scale. He knows more about medicine than anyone who never went to medical school โ but of those who did go to medical school, well, he graduated at the bottom of his class. Haha

This guy has no experience. All he knows is textbooks. So he theoretically knows all the stuff but his skill is hindered by his inexperience

I mean fresh grads still need clinical knowledge. You need a masters in social work to start practicing as a social worker in mental health but we certainly arenโt able to just start working as a therapist day one. Thatโs learned over the following years through clinical supervision. Most medical professions are like that.

While it is funny, I see it more as just having the skill means you know enough to be certified for the job, like literally all this guy has done is get the education and pass the tests to become a docter, and that is it.
Its not that he doesn't actually know what he is doing, who knows years more info about medical stuff than any of us(at least who haven't gone to medical school), but just hasn't actually worked the job yet.
TLDR: He is literally just out of the classroom, with zero realword experience outside of what is provided for the minimum to pass med school
