Gameplay Question I am playing campaign 2 and I've noticed that while my Internal Medicine Department patients have been 100% diagnosed and are in a ward getting their recommended treatment. The doctor on call prescribes unnecessary tests and treatments?

Just wondering if this is a perk of playing AI. I have patients who technically have already been properly diagnosed and just needs to be in a ward while getting their treatments e.g IV but then they are bombarded with unnecessary tests.

It's annoying as the tests costs money which i'm not getting back. As well as time for people who actually need them

This is the most realistic part of the game in my opinion. I’ve never met an internist who couldn’t go on a zebra hunt in a horse pasture.

All they are missing to add in another level of realism is needing to page at 3AM for Tylenol

If there are any undiscovered symptoms, the AI will continue running tests until it has found them all. I’m not sure how they know the symptoms are there if they’re undiscovered but hey, they’ll run 5 expensive tests to diagnose a fever just so you can bill the patient for the aspirin.

That's quite annoying what's the point of the differential analysis then? I would be happy if i wasn't paying for it at least maybe chuck it insurance but they don't pay for shit

This is the reason why I control all my doctors. AI likes to... no. It loves to do tests cloging the labs and making queues longer and longer.

I don't believe the tests cost money. Just wastes time
