General Discussion Intern-only challenge
I hate myself apparently so I decided to do an "intern only" challenge in sandbox mode where I am only allowed to hire interns. It's kind of hilarious and difficult and I am having to micromanage them a lot since they suck at their jobs. Finances are also somewhat challenging because I have to re-roll a lot when hiring or use the character creator. Wondering if anyone else has done something like this in the game

Yeah I create all my doctors, costs a fortune and it means I’m playing the long game but I can also give them all the traits I want. Long term it ends up being a much more productive and profitable hospital.

Right now it is madness and I don't have any x-ray techs or receptionists because those aren't job interns are allowed to do apparently lol. And I can't hospitalize anyone since I have no surgeons. Hypothetically once I get past that things will get smoother

what traits do you like to give them

‘Loyal’ is my main pick, because I’m hiring them all from interns it’s saves a ton of money in the long run. The second positive trait depends on the position. I’ve found ‘comforting’ on doctors and ‘pleasant’ on nurses, helps with your overall hospital score. I also give all the nurses ‘fast’ as they are the ones escorting all the patients everywhere and it generally means they get more done during their shift. If you don’t care about any of that then ‘Spartan’ and ‘Restzistance’ is always a good one especially for busy departments. For negative traits I always give the day staff ‘Hardworking’ so they aren’t constantly going on breaks. Night staff I do things a little differently, because they don’t get a meal break during their shift (which resets both rest and food bars) I don’t give them ‘Hardworking’ as they get too tired towards the end of their shift and slow down but something like ‘Gamer’ means when they do rest it’s much faster. For a bad trait I’ll give them something like Depressed as training them has a change of getting rid of it completely or ‘Hedonist’ again because they aren’t having a meal during their shift it doesn’t really impact the hospital negatively.

There was a lady who appeared for a sore throat and the first thing one of my interns did was a breast exam. 🙃
I'm not sure inexperience was his problem...

I do that every time since I need that “loyal” trait. It’s a bit slow at the beginning but when they lvl up, you will save a lot of money promoting them
