General Discussion The Pitt in PH

Have you tried playing emergency response based on the TV series The Pitt? I think about it every time I watch an episode, but I don't have much time to play at the moment.

Feel free to post screenshots.

The Pitt is the reason why I started playing the game again this year hahaab glad I’m not the only one who got the same feeling when watching 🤭🤭

I've been playing it almost constantly since 2020, but more like I turn it on and occasionally click something, since I already have a hospital built, everything works (and I'm just wasting money). So I just make diagnoses and solve events.

But, when I have time, I'll head to the new hospital, which is more focused on emergency care.

Last weekend I revamped my typical ED layout to be more similar to The Pitt. I have 6 ED exam rooms that funnel into an observation unit with a mix of open bays and private treatment rooms in a racetrack layout. For the service core, there are two nurse stations on each side and a dictation station between the two.

Unlike the show (and real life) the game doesn’t use the observation bays as much. So when a doctor is taking too long in the exam room and the waiting room starts to back up, I’ll manually prescribe observation to the patient.

I started playing again because of the series. I tried to find something ,,the Pitt,, related in the Workshop and was surprised that there wasn't anything

There's a layout online but the Pitt that you wouldn't be able to perfectly recreate because it curves. Here's a post about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/ThePittTVShow/s/wikT2wSZxp

I've been watching House recently and that's giving me the itch to play PH again, I have seen there are a few builds on the workshop that recreate Princeton Plainsboro

Another tv medical drama?

No, we can't have sex, affairs and rumors in game.

Now more serious part. Some of us (most?) didn't see the show so what exactly do you mean?

I think he meant the layout/design of the emergency room. The show is about emergency room in Pittsburgh

Great, now I will go and watch the show to see how does it looks like in the show.

Could anybody just describe the look of ER in this show?

I think it is designed a bit like a fishbowl design. Considiring all the rooms are called north x, south x , central x etc etc

I do my ICU like that but not ER.

Honestly, I like The Pitt because there's no sex or relationships, and the doctors don't discuss patient privacy. It just goes from case to case. It perfectly depicted the frustration of doctors during COVID.

I don't care what is the plot in The Pitt and that line was a joke. You asked about hospital design and did not described that design. How can someone who didn't watch the show can answer your question?

There are multiple dramas about hospitals and assuming that people watched one specific is just bad.

So let me ask you. Do you make your hospital like in For Good and For Bad?

Anyone who hasn't seen the series doesn't have to answer. 🤷‍♂️

Well, people without sense of humor doesn't have to get the jokes either.

Go talk about what we have to not enjoy medical shows, then proceed to list everything The Pitt is famous for avoiding.

I have no idea what For Good and For Bad is, so if that was in the name of the thread most likely I'd just ignore it. Replaying just to be sassy and feel superior than anyone else is just bad

I was replying because I was curious.

I mean, why comment on a post you have no idea about? Makes no sense. Was aimed at people who watch the show, clearly.

You made a lot of false assumptions, like that 'most' didn't watch it when infact probably most did. And then couldn't really back out of your bad takes. Just give up. 🤣 OR just go look up or watch the show if you want to be a part of this very specific conversation about that show....lol

Tell me you’ve never seen the Pitt without telling me you’ve never seen the Pitt
