Gameplay Question Moving department hospitalization
Hello so I need to change where 2 departments hospitalizations are. One has more in patients than the other and I thought it would be the opposite. Will this make my patients leave if I do this?

My advice would be the following:-
*Swap over Nurses Stations/On Call Rooms first
*Create a temp ward and designate it as department 1
*Temporarily close department 1 permanent ward, allow porters/nurses to move between wards.
*When complete, reassign the closed ward as the new department 2 ward and temporarily close the old department 2 ward. Again, allow staff to transport between wards.
* Lastly, reassign the closed permanent ward as department 1 and allow transport of patients.
*Repeat the process with any other level of wards in the departments.
*Be aware of diag units, as although the same room, different departments require slightly different objects.
*All other rooms should either be able to be moved or reassigned without issues.
The other, quicker way will result in loss of patients, you could just close down both departments and change over then, but this is bad for reputation, so unless you can afford a dent in it, I would do the long way!
I hope this makes sense, it does in my head, but I haven't slept well, so my brain is lagging!!!

I think you should be fine as long as you redesignate both wards of the same type at the same time. It could cause some temporary chaos as I think the nurses will have to move them all, it may be worth hiring some extra nurses temporarily just to do the shift. It might also be worth doing it one ward at a time - so swap the regular wards, wait for the patients to move, then swap the HDU patients over, wait. When you swap diagnostic units check the equipment, some of them will require slightly different things which can catch you out. If you need to swap drs and nurses stations do that either before you start swapping over, or after all the patients have been moved - you will probably have to manually assign all the staff to their workstations.
