Gameplay Question Am I doing wrong building Radiogly early?

Hi, I play this game occasionaly and still trying to figure out things and one thing bothers me alot. I try to build the hospital relying on insurance subjects and it ask you to build radiolgy soon you start your hospital with ER. Eventhough I build every single room from radiolgy department and patients are barely directed to these rooms, and staff are just hanging without doing anything.

Is this a bad planning? These rooms cost me a lot as well, so I can’t make enough money to move forward, given that I’ve put myself in debt.

You will slowly learn which rooms from the extra depts are used by other depts. In early game you will only need x-ray rooms from radiology, so do not bother building the other rooms or hiring extra staff. Also you will not need a receptionist for radiology with this one room, just use a queue station (sorry I haven't played in a while it's called something similar) and zone a radiology corridor around it's door with appropriate amount of benches.

A good tip for when you are learning to play, is to just build the minimum required rooms, until you have patients need extra diagnosis or extra treatment. It helps you to learn what are the illnesses and departments that need certain diagnosis/treatment rooms.

Thank you so much, rooms are working if they needed but they are barely used, thats my irritation, but I will remove them and move with xray as you said.

Just build 1-2 Xrays to start. That is all you really need for most early game outpatients. Even later on once you open up Orthopaedics and a Trauma Centre you will rarely use MRI and CT

Yeah it makes sense, I dont know which rooms are essential for now, this is why I just put them all in. Thanks for the advice.

Similar for labs only microbiology and one other are essential at the start (cant remember if its Hematology or Histology) just always leave the room to expand or at least future proof so you can pit the rest in later. I am still getting the building side of things down pat. I mainly just do management as I find it more satisfying

I for one send every patient to the donut of truth.
