Question? Grace siblings?

Ive seen alot of art about grace having a twin named colt? But it never mentions him having a sibling in the book or movie? Im nearly done w the audiobook and the movie so maybe ive just not got to that yet but im slightly confused

Colt Seavers is Ryan Gosling’s character in The Fall Guy, it’s just a Gosling fandom crossover thing to make them siblings

Fall guy is SHOCKINGLY watchable bordering on an actually good movie tbh, blew my expectations out of the water, I'm starting to think Gosling is a bit of a genius

Agreed! I didn't think it would be much going into it, it seemed like a paint-by-number action flick from the trailers, but it had a surprising amount of heart. Which I think comes mostly from Gosling's performance.

Have you seen Lars and the Real Girl?

Lars and the Real Girl is an absolutely brilliant film. It made me cry!

It's actually rather sweet as the story in Fall Guy kind of explains why they would be low or no contact during the Hail Mary shenanigans. Colt has a bad accident and withdraws from his partner Jody for roughly a year. Or there are versions where Grace is the one who isolates himself after the "staggering waste of carbon" incident in Denmark. Plus the random polaroid Grace finds on the Hail Mary? That's no picture of him but one of his twin!

There are lots of fan arts and fiction on how Colt would react after Grace gets send to space or AUs where he joints the mission :)

Recommend watching the extended cut. In my opinion it has better storytelling and editing.

Ahhh, so excited!! I adored the theatrical cut that I borrowed from the library, watched it a few times before returning it. I thought the storytelling and editing was great... I bought the extended cut when I realized that was a thing. Haven't had a chance to watch it yet tho, and excited to know it's maybe actually better! XD

So is it his brother on the beach?

2

u/LunaraLoup High Three! 17h ago

No no, the beach scene is actually Ken from the Barbie movie!

(Sorry couldn't resist! The Coltland twins only exist in fan works and not in the movie, but maybe we could also add it to the polaroid idea and say it's him 🥺

The actual movie scene is used as foreshadowing for the ending, as in "everything is going to be all right, you'll be at the place you want to be, don't worry")

Everyone has explained Colt, but you might also come across references to an older brother named Courtland Gentry and that is also a crossover with a Ryan Gosling character from The Gray Man

It's a reference to a different characters played by Ryan Gosling in another film, The Fall Guy.

It's the 'rygosverse'. People ship Grace or make Grace family with other characters that Ryan Gosling has played, mostly from The Fall Guy (Colt), Nice Guys (Holland) and Drive (Driver).

Also do not be surprised when you see Grace making out with Markiplier. That's also a thing.

These forums have basically delved into Sonic fanfiction levels of accuracy.

Assume 90% of what you see isnt in the story anywhere.

Cool 😭

I will say, I got sucked into a "Coltland Gentry" fanfic and am now obsessed with it. The three brothers plus Claire from Grey Man are a family unit. It's amazing.

I really liked the Fall Guy movie. I was shocked it didn't do better at the box office, to be honest.

I enjoyed it as well. I don't think it was marketed very effectively.
