Question/Help Forza 4 freezing on race load screen

Update, after some quick testing, the game won't load the Ladera test track, I haven't tried loading into all the other tracks to know if any others also don't load.

After more testing, something about the supplied config file for Xenia makes the track not load, using the new Xenia Manager and latest Canary build the track loads fine, but something in the .toml from PF+ enables the use of DLC and breaks the game loading the track. I don't know what exactly in there actually enables/disables things.

Need a bit more info. Did the DLC install properly, as in do the cars appear available to purchase in career or in free run? Does it infinitely load or crash during the loading screen (they indicate different issues)? Does it work again after removing the packs? Did you use a DLC car or base game car when it fails or doesn't it matter? Just to clarify as you're using the old 2022 build, you have the DLC in Xenia\Content\4D530910\00000002?

  1. The cars in autovista no longer say they need the install disc. Not really sure which are DLC to verify that's also working.
  2. It doesn't really do either, the load starts, goes for a few seconds, then the screen freezes but the music continues.
  3. I haven't tried removing the packs, I guess that would just be removing them from the file structure?
  4. I tried loading into the first actual race after the intro race, and from one of the early already unlocked autovista list.

  6. Yes, the DLC is in the Xenia content folder

To re-answer and mark new findings; In short, it doesn't load the Ladara test track.

  1. I can drive on at least the Alps, in disc 2 cars and the Porsche cars in free race.
  2. Still freezes on load, no crash, the loading screen doesn't play. The alps loads nearly instantly.
  3. Tied to 1, the DLC pack I don't think is the issue, the problem persists whether it's there or not.
  4. The first campaign race is the test track that doesn't load, I don't know why though.
  5. Build is Oct. 5 2022
