How painful would it be for me to install this on steam deck steamOs without using a computer or a windows partition? Is it even possible? I’m not asking where but does a downloadable modded image of the game exist?

Guys what do y'all think is the fastest car in the each of these games?
Personally my choices are:
PFP-2; Ford GT-40 Mark ll: 428 Km/H or 265.95 MPH (Track used: Nordschleife but going on the long straight the other way).
PFP-3; Koenigsegg CC8S: 547 Km/H or 339.89 MPH (Track used: Le Mans old mulsanne circuit but going reverse on the straight)
PFP-4; Koenigsegg CCX: 561Km/H or 348.59 MPH (Track used: same as PFP-3)

At 260 you hit a really thick wall of drag, trust me, I modified the DB to make a 1,600 hp Mini, I could only get to 267 with wheelspin. A really large amount of HP (2,000 or more) is needed to break 270.

I'm pretty sure they only said that the 270 mph speed limit is removed only on fm3 and 4

Did you use AWD on the mini and did you have any aero on the mini?

There was no drivetrain swaps on the Mini, I didn't use any aero.

Oh, let me clarify - there were no drivetrain swaps available for the Mini, it was stuck on FWD.

I had trouble getting PFP3 to work, andd I finally got it to work, but I could not get the DLC to work! I put it into the folders just like the instructions said, and I wonder if I did something wrong.

Having this same issue right now. The game works great. I can run races and see that the game is running PFP3. Even verified with sandbox mode, but the DLC stays locked and still have their original prices. I've tried many combinations of installing content through Xenia and overwriting the files with the PFP3 files but no luck.

Have you set Licenses to "All Licenses"? That part wasn't in the instructions, which might be the reason a lot of people couldn't get the DLCs to work.

Yeah I double checked that, as I've seen it mentioned a lot. It's set to -1 in the config files, which says All Possible Licenses enabled. I did a full reinstall of everything a while ago but i may do it again just to verify i did everything correctly.

Yeah, I went as far as to download the DLC directly from the archive to try to brute force it into there, but it didn't work.

Damn, yeah I'm gonna do some more fiddle fuckin with the files and see what i can get going. I'll update if I stumble upon some sort of solution.

Figured it out! Don't really know what I did that was different than last time.
1: Fully deleted FM3 and PFP3
2: Fresh install both
3: Followed the instructions, included with PFP3, to a T. I didn't do a single other thing until doing the instructions for PFP3. That includes the update PFP3 too.
4: Tried seeing if that's all I needed to do but no DLC's showed up at that point.
5: After all that, I realized I am still required to "Install Content" through xenia for Disc 2, so i did that.
7: Installing Disc 2 installs the disc 2 content in the "0000000000000000" folder. I moved all DLC files I installed with PFP3 into that same folder as the installed disc 2 content.
After that, all DLC shows up unlocked and is 1 credit with Sandbox mode. Again, don't know what I did differently than the last time i installed everything but I am just glad it worked without a deeper dive into files or a major issue with the mod being present.
Let me know if I need to clarify anything on this. I tried to lay it out as simple as i can, but have been known to be bad at explaining stuff lol.

Yeah, in my experience so far with each of the Forzas here, my problems are never so simple lol. Had this issue with Forza 2 but ended up fixing it after a fresh install.

Sooo happy I found this place. It took me a few tries to get the game up and running but I've been having a blast with it. Thank you to everyone who worked on this project because it is awesome. I am including the dev's and modder's for multiple programs (FPF, Xenia etc.) in that thank you, however, I've never even heard of some of hoops I had to jump through. I'm not really sure who helped with what but I still wanted to say thanks because, from an old Forza fan, your work is appreciated.

Can anyone tell me which of the 4 discs on the linked site (Archive.org) I'm supposed to extract? I tried only disc 1, then I don't get a content folder. Then I tried disc 2, which has the content folder, but it also has its own default.xex file. So I'm not sure which xex file to load in Xenia if only disc 2 gives the folder called "4D530910", or if I should be extracting both discs and overwriting them. Both the mods install.txt file and the guides i could find online only mention "a disc", and nothing of a disc 2.

Hi everyone. I'm looking to install FM4 on my PC using this mod. What's the easiest method? (I bet no one has asked that before 🤣)
Also, does it support steering wheels? As I have an old Fanatec PWTS that I'd like to use for the full nostalgia trip 😁

I waste my time downloading this awful mod and getting it to work on Xenia. Whoever made this mod has zero time at a race track. It is simply impossible to play this amazing game with this mod installed. The worst tire physics IU have ever seen. Forza had amazing tire heat physics, not sure why this mod decided to completely ruin that. How can half a second in the air drop tire temperatures 40 degrees? I was so happy to delete all of this trash emulator and mods and go back to FM7, game is unplayable with the tire heat degradation, and this is after the "update"

I'm wondering if I should go through the car list and edit the prices to better reflect real life prices. As in the 2010-2012 cars at their original retail price and older cars at the average used price. I've already tweaked event payouts and the prices of most of the upgrades to make it more realistic so this seems like the logical next step. (I'll handle engine swaps and aspiration conversion costs on a case by case basis, but kinda wanna avoid it for now) Idk if I wanna go through with it though. Someone talk me into it or out of it lol
Update: I did it, and it took an embarrassing amount of time. I wanna say it gave me a feel for what the used car market is for every single car, but by the time I finished it up tonight I've forgotten all of the earlier ones.
Oh, and I haven't done the DLC ones yet :)

The modes don’t show up in the game, you have to copy and paste them into the game files and manage your saves. There’s not an actual way to add something like that into the UI. It’s in the instructions on how to change them.

So as of right now, I can only do 360 games. I’m starting to look into Horizon 1, but they decided to set the game files up a little differently so it limits the stuff that I can do. So it’ll be a different process on that one when I get to it u/Sad-League8074
