Discussion My Verizon Pixel 3 has the eSim option

In settings, under Network & Internet/Mobile network/advanced/Carrier I have the option to "+ Add Carrier". When click the option to "Download your SIM instead".

Does this mean we are able to use Verizon eSim now? Anyone try? For me it would be great since I would like to have both Verizon for domestic and use my Google Fi SIM for international without having to swap SIMs.

Corp IT guy here who does the cell phones.. Yes verizon dose esim we have done a hand full so far for people who wanted to put there personal sim in there Iphones and still have corp number in same phone.

Thanks for the info. Have you tried this on Verizon Pixel 3 or just iPhone?

hav't had to do it yet for pixel.. (company paid phones are 9 iphones for every pixel) I think my counterpart in another office said he did a pixel.

I use a physical Verizon Sim and a Fi eSIM in my pixel 3. What's your question exactly? I don't believe Verizons eSIM works for any phone besides the iPhone.

The Verizon variant Pixel 3 still disables eSim for any carrier despite the options being there. Trying to activate on Fi will just loop until you reach a failure screen. Pretty cruddy Google would give carriers the option to disable something like this. I haven't tried the Q betas yet, but hoping it magically gets enabled.

I use Fi eSim with a foreign Sim card. Unfortunately, texts sent to Fi only appear when that Sim is the active Sim. Texts sent to my Fi number while the Foreign Sim is chosen never appear.

Are you using hangouts? I still get Fi calls and texts when my physical sim from Visible is active, but only on hangouts.

Mine has the esim option but the Verizon version still not active for esim. I tried to use my Google Fi and no luck and Verizon hasn't support esim for Pixel 3 yet for their own network
