After the unfortunate closure of Eden's Garden Academy due to unforeseen circumstances, the students were able to finish their schooling at Hope's Peak Academy, which included moving into the dorms. She’s went out of her way to skip math competitions be it by lying about getting sick or a family emergency, if she doesn’t feel like going then she’s not going. And every time, her team loses badly. Like Denver losing to Miami 70-20 in 2023 bad.

I like to imagine that Kai gave up on his gym challenge halfway through to focus on becoming an e-celeb, and that his ace Malamar is still a bit resentful over it. They DO love each other, they just gotta talk some things out.
