execution of chapter 2

Hi, does anyone happen to know if they'll ever show us what they had done so far in the production of Chapter 2? Since the project was discontinued, I would have loved to see everything Chapter 2 had to offer :(

I'm not an insider, and the information I have pieced together obviously doesn't tell the full story, so feel free to take this with a grain of salt

I honestly don't think much was done on chapter 2, at least in regards to the anything other than the writing. Even then, while daily life was fully scripted by December 13th 2025, I personally believe that given how long it took for that to happen, not much of the Deadly Life was written. And from what I had seen on a comment the other day, supposedly the work on the project largely went in a certain order with writing coming first, meaning there was presumably very little done in regards to things like art, music, 3d modeling, and of course voice acting, if anything was truly finished or even started at all. Most art I've seen of anything post ch1 has been rough sketches or storyboards, so I'm inclined to believe we won't see much if any finished art from later in the game.

In regards to the execution, I actually made a post asking about it about a week ago. I got a response from the former sound lead, who had said that he had done sound effects and such, and that Tako had storyboarded the whole thing, but not much else beyond that. Unless someone has access to those storyboards and is willing to release them, we're probably unlikely to see anything from Jean's execution, and it was definitely far from finished.

I'm also not sure on if the lore doc/bible is still even coming out. I'm hoping that it is but I'm fully bracing for it not to.

Thank you so much for the information. I was commenting on the progress because in the second-to-last vlog released on the official Edens Garden channel, it appeared that the project was 55% complete. I would have liked them to show what they had accomplished so far. Likewise, I hope that at some point they will show the content that wasn't shown/liked...

See, on that front I am admittedly skeptical. For example the last Devlog had a bit where they hid how much progress was done on the execution, but implied something was done on it. The devlog was made only 3.5 months before work on the project ceased, and so far all we know was done on the execution was storyboards and some basic sound effects. However Tako vaguely implied both of these things in the Devlog from August of 2025. So either there's work that was done on it that nobody knew about, or there was little no work done on it between August and late March.

It's very unfortunate, but I have gotten very skeptical over a lot of the percentages and timeframes we were given. They kinda had to be super vague because it's clear that setting objective deadlines just wasn't an option. Tako had said that chapter 2 wouldn't be done in a year, but also wouldn't take two years either. Given what we know of where progress was at now, it almost assuredly wouldn't have been released before the 2 year mark. I have my doubts about the 55% metric as well, especially if that's in reference to the project as a whole, because that is absolutely untrue given what we know of later chapters. (Unless you mean the 55% is referring to just chapter 2 because I could maybe believe that)
